I suspect that the juror who is married to an attorney who called the protests riots- knows it.
She also will know about the payout to the parents
And the race baiters
Even though that can’t be brought up in court.
The MOM team will definitely be watching her and her reactions to things
That’s OK, because it’s a moot point anyway.
They’re pushing the theory “GZ was so good he MUST be evil!”
For the defense ? I counted one so far.
SYG is relatively new and difficult to apply. I think Florida has had only eleven (11) cases. It’s really a legal thing more than police thing and difficult to absorb.
While this judge is clearly working for the prosecution, I wonder is she fears the formation of flash mobs outside her house if she doesn't.
Bill Schaefer says it is:
Rachael V George if it goes to the jury right now...
nothing to overcome reasonable doubt
Thank you for making my point. Knowing that SYG exists is completely different than knowing its application.
I really don’t care what she fears. She’s supposed to be able to do the right thing. She has failed. She is attempting to throw this case to the prosecution when a man’s life (or much/most of it) is on the line here.
Karma will come around to kick her in the @ss some day. She won’t get away with it.
So this is all going to delayed until tomorrow and the pros whines about that. Going to find another witness.
Oh yeah. Not a smart move at all.
We need to find out if the judge and the “political appointee” who just testified are buddies in some form.
I think you are right, but my worry is that there are a lot of people that stick their heads in the sand when it comes to people like Trayvon. It would be a lot better for Zimmerman if Martin wasn’t a blank slate, but rather a punk with known violent tendencies and was in all likelihood a thief. I just don’t want there to be any toehold for any jurors who are scared of the consequences of acquittal.
Again, you attacked me first. I took it immediately to Freepmail, and you made my freepmail public because you apparently need attention. Now you brought it back a second time? How much attention and backup do you need already? You can send me all the freepmail you want, because this is getting out of control...let’s take this offline.
No, it doesn’t. Generally speaking, the victim’s character and prior crimes/actions cannot be introduced unless the defendant had firsthand knowledge of it at the time of the incident.
Now if the prosecution tries to establish that TM was a pillar of the community and exemplary citizen, then the defense can counter with prior acts.
Depositions scheduled for tonight at 5:30 — CRUMP????
Even in the harshest light, it doesn't fit into the state narrative, but you just never know how a jury will judge things.
She is so gentle when she addresses the prosecution. She hammers the defense. Disgusting display of jurisprudence. The state of Florida once again has shame all over it.
I was ok fortunately the hitter (slightly drunk)recognized me as an acquaintance as I yelled at him to stop and he stopped without pummeling me too. I actually was grabbing his arm with both of mine and he had me almost lifted off the ground as he stopped his forward motion. (I was pretty darned scared) 6 security guards showed up and I talked them into letting the big guy and me leave without a scuffle, told them I would make sure he didn’t come back as we headed for the door....Diplomacy worked well..he was ready to take them all on, raised his hands with fists, and told them not to touch him, and they obviously didn’t want to take him on. I helped everyone save face and defuse a bad situation.
I forgot to mention he was about 6’7” 300 # and past pro bouncer...He was previously working as a bouncer and someone hit him with a beer bottle in the head from behind and he turned around and pulled the guys throat out...he served time for excessive force on that one. They hitter had to sweat it out 3 days to see if the guy recovered, which he fortunately did. Haven’t seen him since.
Didn't Rachel confirm that by saying that she thought it was 'jes a fite', and therfore no reason to call police. Trayvon must have got into fights quite a bit.
