Gowdy: 'More Interested in Getting It Right' Than Following Senate on Immigration

(CNSNews.com) - Joking that he was "moved almost to the point of tears by Sen. (Chuck) Schumer's concern for the future prospects of the Republican Party," Rep. Trey Gowdy said on Sunday the immigration bill passed by the Senate is dead on arrival in the House:

"The Senate bill is not going to pass in the House. It's not going to pass for myriad reasons," Gowdy told "Fox News Sunday."

...Gowdy disputes allegations that illegal immigrants are draining certain government services reserved for citizens, such as unemployment benefits and Social Security. Illegal immigrants don't qualify for such benefits.

Not much they don't.

Paul Ryan compounded his stupidity by his sap-happy claim that reform would "take them out of the shadows, so that they can give us their real identities."

MEMO TO RYAN your sap-happy faith in latino human nature will not be rewarded---not by these conniving primitive invaders sucking off taxpayers bigtime.

Using multiple identities is v-e-r-y profitable.

<><> one latino illegal (one who got caught) scammed UI for some $3.4 MILLION.

<><> The Washington state latino rapist had some 30 identities---all riding the US gravy train.

<><> $43 million IRS refunds were sent to one address---that's about 37,000 fake ids---just at one address.

<><> Not to mention the zillions of latino mothers and children collecting SSI by faking ADD, etc.

==================================================

HERE'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THEY COME OUT OF THE SHADOWS--they already have multiple faked ID's to get drivers' licenses under different names....which also allows them to vote under different names....and collect US freebies under different names.

1. legalization forces them to get drivers' licenses under their real names.

2. state computers run a photo-match check to see if the same person has applied under different names.

3. they get investigated for ID theft and have to answer to a judge.

4. they get prosecuted under US l

========================================

Cackle---gee, I just can't wait til the bloodthirsty La Raza comes out of the shadows, can you? Reform gives Raza an endless $150 million slush fund that gets refilled.....only the beginning of the latino looting.

If even one single immigration related bill is passed regardless of how narrow the scope... the RINOs will push and shove for that single bill (or a group of several bills) to be reconciled with the Senate ‘immigration’ - Amnesty bill. And that will mean the strong arm tactics of the RINOs and Democrats will make the Senate Bill law by stuffing it into these bills.. This sort of thing has been done and will be done — I Like Gowdy - he is a Great Guy doing a good job... But one thing Republicans have NEVER in the past 30 years learned they cannot TRUST the Democrats or the Liberal Republicans in their midst... Best this is to STALL... Hold hearing all summer as Hastert did in 2006 - then nothing happened. We don’t need any new laws relative to the Border or to ‘immigration’ There are dozens now that are not enforced. Enforce them !!!

Everyone - Go read what Speaker of the House Hastert did in 2006 ... He Stopped Amnesty with a calculated effort of just holding hearings all summer. Helped along by Congressman Sensenbrenner Hastert’s actions caused the rush to Amnesty to stall out and die...

Hastert KNEW that any House - Senate Conference on merging House and Senate bills would mean Amnesty shoved down our throats - so he shunted the entire process....

We need to do that NOW... Just stall the while thing out...

” The RNC should be put on notice-—they cannot use conservatives to get back in power UNLESS rock-hard conservatives like Trey Gowdy and his surrogates are placed in key positions in the party-—in DC and nationwide. This must happen now....or we will proceed without them. “

BUMP!!

” Then next years November the GOP picks up seats in both houses, in November Rubio and Ryan cite Rubio-amnesty as the reason for the victory.”

I think all hell will break out by then because of amnesty, and the GOP will quickly go to hell.

Just received a reply:

July 5, 2013

Dear Mr. Resettozero,

Thank you for contacting me about federal immigration policy. As a nation of immigrants, this is an important topic for both our district and our country. I appreciate hearing from you and value your thoughts.

Our current immigration system is broken and inspires confidence in no one. The process is too long for those who have been waiting in line for the chance to immigrate legally. The border remains unsecured. The visa program relied upon by our farmers is too onerous and cumbersome. These are but only a few of the complaints heard throughout our district with regard to the current system.

Proposals that balance the humanity that defines us as a people with the respect for the rule of law that defines us as a republic are welcome. But Congress must ensure that America’s borders are protected. This is a national security issue, a law enforcement issue, and an issue of our nation having control over who comes and under what circumstances. In addition, the immigration laws must be enforced. The equal application of the law is a foundation of our republic. And we must have employment verification to remove any incentive to continue ignoring the current law.

Similarly law enforcement and prosecutors should remain ever vigilant in their pursuit of those who engage in the insidious practice of human trafficking as well as those who abuse the current system with fraudulent documents.

The House of Representatives Committee on Judiciary will hold hearings examining all aspects of our current immigration system. Our congressional district has benefitted mightily from foreign investment and the legal immigration our country is rooted in. We will strive throughout this process to make sure that whatever immigration system emerges at the end of the process is one that is enforced, one that fosters and encourages legal immigration, and one that is supremely respectful of the rule of law. After all, respect for the rule of law is the foundation upon which thriving democracies are built and sustained.

Thank you again for contacting our office. We hope you will let us know if we can ever be of assistance to you.

Sincerely,

Trey Gowdy
Member of Congress

TG/NS

A form letter? I would call back to Gowdy’s DC office and ask to speak to a staff member who is Supposed to know what is going on WRT their “comprehensive immigration bill” to ask how they are going to prevent it from including or path to citizenship, or coming out of conference with a path to citizenship.

Likely, it is a email typed by an intern with copies to all who have contacted his office the past week or so regarding immigration. But, upon careful parsing, I think he answers what you asked and what I wrote. But, if not, I tried.

I appreciate you letting me know what they sent you. I would hardly call it a response.

But, upon careful parsing, I think he answers what you asked and what I wrote.

Not even close to what I want to know, unless the conclusion you reached was that he does not know the answers to my questions and does not care.

Upon careful parsing, I got the answer I wanted to hear. It’s my impression that TG is serious about his job and that was all he wanted to put in writing at this time and I understand that.

Only suggestion I can make now is for you to contact your own U.S. Representative, or elect one that pleases you more on this matter and puts Gowdy to shame.

Yes, but it certainly did not answer my question. I might be pleasantly surprised at what Gowdy does in the future, or not. Who knows.

I do try to contact him, but his staff won't tell me much either. The reason I asked you to try to find out what was going on was that Gowdy is on the judiciary committee. My Rep, like Gowdy, has a very anti-Obama voting record, but I don't know if he is going to oppose the House giving leftists total control forever via a path-to-citizenship.
