“I’m really so sorry for Chip and the way he was treated. I want to reassure all your readers that if they plan a visit to the U.K., once they get past the U.K. Border Agency they will find friendly, welcoming people, without prejudice.”

It actually *used* to be that way in the U.K.

Not anymore.

The U.K. is now a terrible nest of antisemitism, along with several other EU countries. The people have become extremely bigoted and prejudicial, while all the time mouthing inane pleasantries.

In 1846, the British law “De Judaismo”, which prescribed a special dress for Jews, was repealed. This was the last major example of government sponsored antisemitism in England.

However, the smoldering hated for Jews by the British public has long been there. It has quietly been exacerbated by the British attraction for Arabs since around World War I.

After World War II, antisemitism manifested itself in the British abuse of Jews in Palestine, until the Jews rather violently encourage the British to back off. There was still some Jewish-sympathetic Brits that balanced the antisemitic ones.

Modern British antisemitism has slowly gained strength in recent years, both paralleling and transcending the antisemitism of the American left. So this event may be seen in future as a turning point, when British antisemitism came out of the closet as not just anti-Israeli, but anti-Jewish.

Ironic, I suppose, that so many other EU countries are also becoming more antisemitic at the same time.

‘However, the smoldering hated for Jews by the British public has long been there.’

An utter and disgusting lie. The Jewish population of Great Britain lives happily without any major anti-semitism. In fact, Judaism is openly celebrated as a long standing and vibrant part of British culture. British TV ran Jewish documentaries across all five of its network channels last year.

Did America?.

British Jewish entertainers, writers, politicians and businesspeople openly celebrate their Jewishness. The London East End Jew, with his sharp wit and mouth is as well loved and known a cultural icon as the Glaswegian or the Cockney.

The current British Prime Minister is part Jewish. As is the deputy PM. As is the leader of the opposition party(Labour). So you have Jewish-descended people in the three most important political positions in the UK.

Are Obama, Biden and Romney Jewish?......

The comments about British people are simply obnoxious. They are a disgusting slander on the vast, vast majority of the British people. Who are no more antisemitic than their American cousins.

The UK is the nation that rejected the naked antisemitism of the 1930’s Fascists, and continues to reject the antisemitism of the BNP and other fringe neo-nazi parties and groups. The nation that stood alone against Hitler, while America and others stood by. And the nation that liberated Belsen and saved Jewish lives.

To suggest that the British people are antisemitic OR that the jews of Britain are victims of mass cultural or physical antisemitism is a downright and disgusting lie.

‘After World War II, antisemitism manifested itself in the British abuse of Jews in Palestine, until the Jews rather violently encourage the British to back off.’

Between 1944 and 1948, not one but two Jewish terrorist gangs bombed, murdered and tortured their way across Palestine, murdering British, Arab and Jew alike. The Irgun and the Stern Gang, the latter of whom even in 1941 made overtures to the Nazis in return for agreement of a Jewish homeland. Both gangs also murdered and tortured fellow Jews who opposed their terrorism.

Most Palestine Jews, including Ben Gurion, opposed their terrorism and worked with the British to bring them to justice. So sickened were they by the terrorist campaign (which included the torture and murder of two unarmed British soldiers).

Yet all you can talk about is postwar British ‘abuse’?. All the British postwar in Palestine were doing was getting bombed and murdered by the Irgun and Stern.

Oh, no doubt you think both groups were freedom fighters....
