An utter and disgusting lie. The Jewish population of Great Britain lives happily without any major anti-semitism. In fact, Judaism is openly celebrated as a long standing and vibrant part of British culture. British TV ran Jewish documentaries across all five of its network channels last year.
Did America?.
British Jewish entertainers, writers, politicians and businesspeople openly celebrate their Jewishness. The London East End Jew, with his sharp wit and mouth is as well loved and known a cultural icon as the Glaswegian or the Cockney.
The current British Prime Minister is part Jewish. As is the deputy PM. As is the leader of the opposition party(Labour). So you have Jewish-descended people in the three most important political positions in the UK.
Are Obama, Biden and Romney Jewish?......
The comments about British people are simply obnoxious. They are a disgusting slander on the vast, vast majority of the British people. Who are no more antisemitic than their American cousins.
The UK is the nation that rejected the naked antisemitism of the 1930’s Fascists, and continues to reject the antisemitism of the BNP and other fringe neo-nazi parties and groups. The nation that stood alone against Hitler, while America and others stood by. And the nation that liberated Belsen and saved Jewish lives.
To suggest that the British people are antisemitic OR that the jews of Britain are victims of mass cultural or physical antisemitism is a downright and disgusting lie.

According to the Jerusalem Post: “The British Department for Business, Innovation and Skills is providing funding to an organisation which promotes anti-Israel speakers and encourages the boycott movement around the world.
“A leaked Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) e-mail has revealed that the British government is in dialogue with groups that advocate the boycotting of Israeli goods, products, or people, despite British government policy to the contrary.
Jacob Vince, director of Christian Friends of Israel, says there is a great deal of anti-Semitism in the UK.

Britons will take issue with the assertion that Britain is an anti-Semitic country. But they cannot convincingly refute Shimon Peres’s observation that the British establishment has long had an uneasy relationship with both the Jews and the Jewish state. Nor can they deny that the new anti-Semitism, which deliberately blurs the line between anti-Zionism and anti-Semitism, is moving into the mainstream.
Shimon Peres noted: “Yes, there is also anti-Semitism. There is in England a saying that an anti-Semite is someone who hates the Jews more than is necessary.” He added: “There are several million Muslim voters [in Britain], and for many members of parliament, that is the difference between getting elected and not getting elected.”
Importantly, I am coming from an American, not a European perspective. For years, the Democrat party was deeply pro-Jewish, and mostly pro-Israel. However in the 1980s, that began to change, and today the Democrats are vehemently anti-Israeli, and none too friendly to American Jews, either. However, both they and American Jews are in denial about this anti-Zionism and antisemitism.
I suspect that the UK is in a similar position.
