And in the case of Scooter Libby it wasn’t even a lie—just a slightly different memory when an obscure event was recalled at different times. The conviction of Libby and cases such as the Zimmerman case make it clear that much of the ruling elite’s “judicial” system has been filled with the despicable and the near insane who are not actually pursuing justice.
According to Wikipedia, Libby was acquitted of the charge of giving false statements to the FBI.
Libby was convicted of giving false testimony to a grand jury, where he would have been sworn under oath.
