President Obamas trip to Africa is little more than a public relations stunt to a continent desperate for his help, Lawrence K. Freeman, editor of Executive Intelligence Review magazine, told RT.
RT: What can we expect from Obamas three-nation tour, do you think?
Lawrence Freeman: Theres not going to be much accomplished. The purpose of the trip is not to help the African people to develop these African nations. This is a very calculated, glorified public relations tour to three countries and most people in Africa are going to realize, and do realize already, that this country is doing nothing to help their continent. And what they do know is that the overthrow of Colonel Gaddafi, led by Obama and NATO, has been a catastrophe for north and West Africa in supporting various elements that have now allowed the destabilization of many of these countries, especially with the arms and the flow of Tuaregs and terrorists coming out of Libya. So the South African people are not pleased or happy with President Obama and hes going to offer absolutely nothing except maybe entice private sector companies to make a few investments. But this is really pathetic in terms of what Africa needs.
RT: To what extent is this more about Chinas influence there?

OUCH!!!
Ivan has Ohomo pegged.
Maybe he’s soliciting CARE packages for a few needy families in Detroit.
He does have a vision and future planned for America...make it more like Africa!
Yup
You would think the first Kenyan-born President of the USA would do more for the African continent. Oh wait, pink trumps black and since many Africans are not receptive to gay marriage, Obummer doesn’t care about them.
Two things Russia seems to have taken over are professional boxing and the protection of Christians and Christianity in the world. Th United States is still a Christian nation demographically and in theory, but you’d never know it from observing the activities of our government.
The Zero does not care about anyone but himself, and his own power in particular. Remember him rolling the bus over Rev. Wright? That was just for starters.
That, and spending as much of the taxpayers’ money as possible.
I wonder how many people know that Obama took 538 (that’s right, 538) business CEO’s and leaders with him on this three day trip. Crony capitalism anyone? Can you even compute how much of the taxpayers’ money this has cost to bring 538 business leaders with him on this junket (vacation). And for what possibly, and I emphasize the word possibly, generates a few business deals supposedly to justify bringing FIVE HUNDRED AND THIRTY EIGHT business leaders with him. What this President gets away with is unfathomable.
First time I’ve heard that ... is there a list ?
No, I don’t know which business leaders went on the trip, just that they were going with Obama. I heard it only once on TV, I believe (I remember factoids like this) however, basically no one is talking about it anywhere in the MSM. Don’t you think this would have gotten out somewhere; where is conservative talk radio on this? Where is Fox?
Here is one paragraph from a Christian Science Monitor article on the Africa trip, dated June 26, 2013, apparently one of the few outlets mentioning this:
“White House officials insist that the administration is serious about reenergizing the US role in Africa beyond what Ms. Cooke calls the maintenance mode of Obamas first term. They say he will signal that new commitment not only through the 500 US business leaders who will accompany the president at some point on his trip, but also through his emphasis on the US model of a mutually beneficial relationship.”
Now the EU and moderate Muslims are beginning to rebuke Obummer. EU and Malaysia are both threatening to stop Free Trade talks with ‘Snooper Dogg.’
Isn’t Fascism another term for Crony Capitalism?
...”Liberals still support him.
They are incapable of logic or figuring out what is really going on.
I just spoke with one Thursday night. Hasnt a clue”...
This is one terrible weakness in our system. When you have a situation where anyone who can get possession of the money to run for office can run, no matter how corrupt or ignorant that candidate might be, you have the seeds of failure for the entire nation. They need no prior experience or proven success at anything. What can we expect? So many of those people populating the halls of Congress and all over government are an insult to our intelligence. Once they get in there, especially as bureaucrats, they are in for life, and then retire on a big pension from our pockets, while the workers in the private sector barely exist. It has become very hard to keep “hope” alive!
Why are we responsible for the vision and/or future of Africa? Isn’t that something Africa should be working on for herself?
