Ann Coulter flip-flops: N.J. Gov. Chris Christies dead to me
Conservative firebrand and best-selling author Ann Coulter has changed her tune and flip-flopped on her support for New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
In a Thursday tweet, she wrote: @GovChristies dead to me.
The tweet came on the heels of Republican Sen. Jeffrey Chiesas vote to end debate on the immigration reform bill. Mr. Chiesa was appointed to the seat by Mr. Christie after Sen. Frank Lautenberg died.
At the tail of her tweet, Ms. Coulter also added: Jeffrey S. Chiesa R NJ votes Aye on Amnesty bill.
The denouncement is a major turn for Ms. Coulter, who pushed hard for Mr. Christie to run for president against Barack Obama in 2011. In February of 2011, she told Fox News: I dont care if [Chris Christie] wants to run, his country needs him, it appears.
And at the Conservative Political Action Conference in 2011, she said similarly: If we dont run Chris Christie, [Mitt] Romney will be the nominee and well lose, The Daily Caller reported.
As late as May 2013, Ms. Coulter still stood strong for Mr. Christie.

"Ann Coulter flip-flops: N.J. Gov. Chris Christies dead to me" ... Ann's been all over the place; it took her this long to realize that Christie is a RINO?!?
I would highly encourage Ms Coulter to come here first for her opinions.
No. She became a self called “one issue voter” when the senate took up amnesty. I think Ted Cruz is one of few left. And I agree!
Lately she’s had the hots for Ted Cruz.
Can’t be. Cruz is a conservative. She only gets the vapors over libs like Romney and Christie...Oh and Bill Maher too.
She loved Romney until he became dead to her too
Pattern?
I will grudgingly give Ann credit for finally coming to the realization that some people will cheerfully not only reach across the isle, they'll even make strange bedfellows with the darkside!!!
Ann wants a tall guy from a big state.
A Ron Johnson or a Ted Cruz.
Chiesa was voting for it regardless. I dont see how this helps Christie in NJ. Will Menendez endorse Christie?
From her CPAC speech:
“I’m now a single-issue voter against amnesty, so Christie’s off my list. [pause] Our next speaker, Ted Cruz is still on my list.”
I like Coulter’s writing. I’ve never cared much for her speeches and her preferences in men are downright batty for the most part, although she adores Ronald Reagan and Joe McCarthy.
I like her writing too. Bought all her books before she went lib in us. Now it’s obvious that while she is a gifted writer, she doesn’t believe a word she writes. If she did, the past 2 years of her liberal infatuation and flip flopping like a Kerry out of water would never have happened.
But she does like the money her writing brings. Must have lost some as of late...so back to the money train she goes.
She must have been noticing a drop-off in her book sales since going RINO and is now trying to come home.
Wrong mammal.
Too late for her. No fooling us twice.
We, here, are all a bit different from each other. There are some lively debates (and a few verbal flippings-off). No worries, we are all on the same island, and generally support the same direction for our fine Country, Constitution and values. The point is that there is room for some variation of opinion here at Conservative Central.
Ann Coulter is so brilliant at observing and reporting political relationships, often from recorded history that predates most of us. I've learned much from Ann's columns and books (who knew that Joe McCarthy was on the right track?) She offers brave perspective and is a true master at illustrative sarcasm (my term).
Ann is one of us. Yeah, she was a bit smitten w Mister Christie (she believed his quite-well-delivered lies); but now she knows better, and admits same.
Is Ann always right? Of course not. Are you always right? Nupe. Am I always right (actually...no, me neither.)
If we have too strict a standard to be in our club, nobody will qualify.
Are we sure this wasn’t because Christie made such a strong statement against the SCOTUS’s sodomy-promotion decisions? Ann is a big fan of the butt-boys, after all.
Coulter: Maher, I'll get them back just watch
Maher: How's the new book going?
Coulter: I don't want to say anything about it until I hornswoggle them back into my camp
Maher: Hahaha, perfect idiots and another Million Dollar score
Well said.
You should out write her, Norm. You have the talent! Get to to it.
