Mall maul nothing much, authorities report

The black mob violence at Fort Lauderdale over the Memorial Day weekend was nothing much, said the chief of police, local media and business boosters.

But if nothing happened in Fort Lauderdale, then even less happened a few miles away earlier this week at the Lauderhill Mall where a mob of 200 to 300 black people were fighting, destroying property, rampaging past the stores, taunting police and creating chaos.

The Miami Herald picked up the beat: “A small fight,” said the local paper of record.

Which could have been news to the dozens of extra police from three neighboring areas, along with a SWAT team, police dogs, rifles, a helicopter, and other crowd control measures that were required to get the mob under control and out of the mall.

The mall closed for several hours. No one was arrested. But lots of people saw what happened. And their account is different from the antiseptic “nothing to see here folks” version that appeared in the local press.

BTW, I worked at Greenbriar Mall in Atlanta in the early to mid 90’s. An insurance agency on the outlying office surrounding the mall (facing outward like many offices). Luckily I had a key that allowed me to enter the mall through the back walkways, but at night... I NEVER went to my car without a mall security with me. I was the one responsible for making deposits on the way home as the office manager. Considering it was before the miraculous age of Visa Debit/Credit and primarily was a cash based business (cause we sure as heck didn’t take checks for a down payment on fly by night ‘give me an insurance card’ business), I am amazed we weren’t robbed more than we were. Same for my first job on Moreland Ave near Grant Park in the late 80’s. Yeah, almost shat myself quite a few times searching with my foot for the silent alarm. Sadly, back when these business’s started in the 70’s, it WAS suburbia.

Lots of famous black celebrities went to this mall, saw a good many a lot. I will say this, there was a Chick Fa La that had the best breakfast deal anywhere (piece of small chicken with biscuit, eggs, hashbrowns and coffee for $1.99) and the Chinese restaurant was fabulous. LOL. Can you tell we liked the food court?

And that was about it for liking that job.

Except when transferring to Mableton/Cobb County and had to drive through a ‘susceptible’ neighborhood to get to the bank to make the deposit and a nice white girl in a nice car was pulled over for being a nice white girl in *that* kind of neighborhood with a nice car. And having *that* kind of cash. My supervisor just made sure she was home (before the age of cell phones) in case the cops called to verify that I was SUPPOSED to be there with THAT kind of money.

Ok, done with my war stories. Can’t even imagine Atlanta now, but now that I live in South Florida... let’s just say I am not looking forward to the Zimmerman verdict. Saving quickly for a CC permit for Florida. In the meantime, have bear mace for the house and my purse.

Oh yeah, feral teens come in all shapes, sizes and colors.

Didn’t mean to indicate otherwise in my posts, but just my own experience. But I am still aware of “hispanic white” feral gangs of teens. ESPECIALLY since moving to South Florida. BTW, “hispanic whites” comes from our own government that doesn’t allow a race to be ‘hispanic.’ They are white or whatever they identify with, but hispanic is not a race of it’s own. Simply because the Spanish Europeans are not the Mexican, or South American ‘race’ that speaks spanish. No more than Brazilians are European Portuguese. Spanish speaking people can be of many races. Even Costa Rican (which many are of African descent).

So this is where the “white hispanic” crap with Zimmerman comes from. Our own government that does not plug them into a race (and again, if a black person was raised in Cost Rica for example, but speak spanish, they are ‘hispanic.’)

Didn’t start with Obama of course, but started from stupidity.

Speaking spanish doesn’t set you apart from any other race no more than being “African-American” from South Africa makes you white or black.

The left intelligensia virtually worships the Negro as their way of showing how morally superior they are to the rest of America.

You're right on this - and originally it was true. There was a time when white intellectuals stood with powerless blacks to undo some horrible 'jim crow' wrongs. Those people were impressive. However, the mob of whites who wanted to jump on that bandwagon are NOT the same types that originally stood alone. In fact the current bunch has much more in common with the the 'old racists group think' that ran the South in the 50's and early sixties. There are people who choose to stand with the powerful - no matter right or wrong. And it's happening again - this time the 'wrong' are 'liberals'...
