Had on my tin foil hat that said buy, so did that before the run on ammo, except for the 22LR. Got that as it was beginning to go up (bought a 22LR Ruger rifle) and was scarce, so searched every day until I would find some and get it. Did that for a while until I had enough for what my needs could be. Now, I read 22LR is still very scarce and the price is high.

I've got squirrels and birds that try to eat my garden seed and baby plants. I'm using net right now to keep them out, but to prepare if the SHTF, I bought a Walther pellet handgun to take out squirrels and birds. Got the Walther without blowback so it is quiet not to upset people living close to me. Pellets are totally cheap so that will save 22LR cartridges.

What turned me around on the Death Penalty was the statistic (I wish I knew where to find it again) that there are 500 people murdered by somebody who was already convicted of a previous murder ---per year --- in California alone.

The state has no reason for existence, if it does not at least exercise force to protect citizens from murderers.
