In March 2013, when Edward Snowden sought a job with Booz Allen Hamilton at a National Security Agency facility in Hawaii, he signed the requisite classified-information agreements and would have been made well aware of the law regarding communications intelligence.
Section 798 of the United States Code makes it a federal crime if a person "knowingly and willfully communicates, furnishes, transmits, or otherwise makes available to an unauthorized person, or publishes, or uses in any manner prejudicial to the safety or interest of the United States" any classified information concerning communication intelligence.

Two of these individuals, filmmaker Laura Poitras and Guardian blogger Glenn Greenwald, were on the Board of the Freedom of the Press Foundation that, among other things, funds WikiLeaks.

Can't really argue with that. I would expect the CIA to need money to pay for operations some of which are designed to produce more money. The philanthropies seem mostly liberal to me, but that's probably because liberals believe in the growth of government which means more money for the CIA.
I'm not sure this tells me anything I didn't already know or suspect.

There are three differing areas he could be in “hotel” style, so to speak. One of which is controlled entirely by Putins people...if he’s there he’s more than confined.
I hear he’s attempting to negotiate a return to the US as well....with conditions...his father spoke of that possibility recently.
Regardless he remains a “Man Without A Country”....if there in Moscow he really can’t move until some nation gives him the go ahead...and none can do so without basically Russian ok...he has nothing identifying himself now Ecuadore has declared his traveling papers were not authorized. So he can’t board a plane out of Russia without papers ...unless Putin gives the go-ahead.

Snowden played the game from the get go , long before he was hired at Allen Root NSA,..with Wikileakes Assange, that seems to be becoming more clear as this moves along.
Assange needed to up his anti as his revenues were drying up faster than he could replenish them. Lots of fall-out in his organization as well....not to mention he couldn’t move freely where he is.
I said from the get go Assange was in this..and i still say so...the only reason he’s now trying to distance himself and his group from Snowden is he expected to be out of his “prison” via Ecuador ..now......and they aren’t coming thur for him...
Ecuador’s playing their hand..and everyone else as well....Snowden and Assange are pawns for them to move on the International Stage..and they are doing just that with them both.
I have to giggle....these guys thought they could play in the Big Boys game and both of them simply got cornered like mice running in circles....depending on Foreign Governments was their first stupid mistake.

I've been shocked at how many here on FR, which on September 12, 2001 placed in big red letters: "Loose Lips Sinks Ships", fell for this loser lefty.
Well, I think they've been so bashed by the the Administration , AND, the Republicans ...that they frankly are for pretty much anyone who can call them out, no matter what form those individuals might take.
I try to keep a fix on International Politics as best I can...when you view the Big Picture you understand why things are happening or not, though you don't like it either, at least you know why they're doing what they're doing...who the players are and some of their moves.
Snowden was a stooge for Assange....a willing one but a stooge none the less. And of course Assange has no loyalty or passions but for himself and how he can insert himself on the International Stage. He loves to get into wars and affect the outcomes..the same with political elections and all in between...he sees himself as the puppeteer...and he has a vast number of ‘Nerds” sitting behind computers who want to be part of the fame...even if never seen or heard, they are willing to be a part of the Assange following.
HE could never rise to the level of significance he dreamed of...so...(just like with Snowden) they'd create havoc and look like Big Hero's to some.....Both have huge egos and an overinflated opinion of who they are. Both are anti-American. Snowden even said he is “A citizen of the world”. so he had no loyalties to begin with.
MAYBE Obama LET him steal all this stuff because he’s getting BLACKMAILED by FOREIGN ENEMY COUNTRIES because they KNOW WHERE HE WAS BORN!!.....I know...tin foil hat time.
