Last time I checked if you were a firearms owner in Canada they do not require a warrant to search your premises .

Sections 102-105 of the Firearms Act

So I guess this Lawyer & firearms specialist doesn't know the law?

“This is without precedent, this is unreasonable search and seizure,” said Ed Burlew, lawyer and firearms specialist in Ontario. “The entry was illegal, it’s against the charter, it was unreasonable search and seizure. There’s no judge that would uphold the evidence obtained through an illegal entry into a person’s home.”

That’s right. And few Canadians realize it.When you have weapons in your home, regsitered , both restricted and non restricted, you have given the police the right to enter anytime without warrant.

This is a horrible state of affairs and incidents like this one raise the awareness of Canadians of how vulnerable “gun owners” are, and they should not be.
