A prosecution witness testified in the George Zimmerman trial Friday that he saw the former neighborhood watch captain on the bottom of a mixed martial arts-style fight with 17-year-old Trayvon Martin the night Martin was fatally shot.
Jonathan Good said he heard a faint noise coming from the back of his home in the Retreat at Twin Lakes on Feb. 26, 2012. When he heard a louder noise, he went outside to investigate. He said he saw two men engaged in a tussle...
Good was the 17th witness to take the stand in the trial of Zimmerman, who is charged with second-degree murder in the shooting of Martin in Sanford, Florida. Zimmerman told police he followed the teenager because there had been some recent break-ins in the area. He says he was forced to shoot Martin during their confrontation in self-defense.
On the trials fifth day, Good recounted being 15 to 20 feet away from the fight between Zimmerman and Martin. Although he couldnt make out the faces of the people on the ground, Good said he could make out the color of their clothes.
In crucial testimony that appears to buttress the defenses argument, Good said the person on top during the fight was wearing a black top like the black hoodie sweatshirt Martin had on that night, and the person on the bottom was wearing red. Zimmerman was wearing a similar color that night.
Good said it seemed like the person on the bottom was yelling for help. Good said he saw the person on top straddling the person on the bottom and the person on top was moving their hands in a downward striking motion that looked like what he called a ground and pound, a term associated with MMA or mixed martial arts fighting.

It’s going to be a hot summer.
Yeah ... seems like the prosecution witnesses are giving Zimmerman more credibility than not.
And long.
Good. Lets get it over with. Better us than our kids dealing with worse.
I can't believe how many articles today have relayed this information as if it's somehow shocking! This was pretty much established from the get-go.
So now we know little Trayvon was the racist and agressor. I hope the judge dismisses the charges after the close of the prosecution’s case. But we know that won’t happen.
I have noticed the same thing. The prosecution witnesses seem to be helping the defense.
Does anyone else get the idea that the prosecution is intentionally throwing this case? I mean, come on, every one of the “witnesses” to date have either supported the defense or have suffered major credibility issues.
I can’t see, short of outright bribery or blackmail, how anyone could vote to convict. But we all know what will happen if a “not guilty” verdict is returned.
I would not want to be living in any major American city when the verdict is released.
Game, set, match. Case dismissed.
If these witnesses for the prosecution are their best witnesses the prosecution must be very sorry they brought charges.
Makes one wonder if the state isn't pushing this case to exonerate themselves...not the defendant.
Riots are most likely going to happen. That is the ultimate goal of Obama's war of division. That is the goal of community organizing.
Those who refuse to assimilate (the Antisocial Minorities) must rebel at some point.
And the societies against which they rebel will either accept their rebellion and change to incorporate it...or they will reject it as non-productive.
The question is...is the rebellion of the Antisocial minorities productive...or is it not.
If their rebellion is non-productive...it will eventually die...probably sooner rather than later.
Prosecution witness?
When all this come out in a few years, we will no longer be a recognizable republic anyway, so it won't faze anyone.
If fate has it that Zimmerman is going to win, hope this trial runs into the winter months. Seldom do Obama’s sons riot when it is cold ... hard to carry a new TV in the snow. Just sayn’
“””I cant see, short of outright bribery or blackmail, how anyone could vote to convict. But we all know what will happen if a not guilty verdict is returned.”””
I have been on several juries. Never underestimate the stupidity of the average American.
There is that... After all, look at OJ.
I don't think they are throwing the case...just presenting it--lame as it is.
That is the political side of things. The prosecution has done its job and it can go home without further hassle.
Now cue the rioters.
The prosecution is discovering that you can’t make chicken salad out of chicken ****.
