Egyptian security and medical officials say an American has been killed in the Mediterranean coastal city of Alexandria during clashes between supporters and opponents of Egypt's embattled President Mohammed Morsi.
Alexandria security chief Gen. Amin Ezz Eddin told Al-Jazeera TV that an American was killed Friday in Sidi Gabr Square while photographing the battles between opposition youth and members of the Muslim Brotherhood, from which Morsi hails.
A medical official told The Associated Press the American was wounded by gunshots and died at the hospital.

The State Department said Friday that Americans should defer nonessential travel to Egypt, citing the uncertain security situation. It also said it would allow nonessential staff and the families of personnel at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo to leave Egypt until conditions improve.

I think the MB in the WH are shocked. There could be scrutiny from wide awake patriotic Americans who won’t allow it.
When the MB is uprooted from its birthplace, they may have to wander the earth to find places to live under extradition demands from a new Egyptian government.
That could be expected.

They’re getting a second chance. No problems with ballot boxes this time.
MB take cover or go back to where you came from
You need 1/100 th of the Egyptian media injected in the MSM! Without this, as you know, any patriotic American must be a kook and what have you.
How can any visitor with marginal English that we are not a homosexual African country?
Who’s responsible for all what’s happening? A compliant, ideologically communist media.
There you have it.

Great pics, thanks to you, Maggief and Flotsamm_Jetsome.
Everyday Egypt requires about 800,000,000 Pita breads, millions of tons of broad beans (ful), 40 container ships of hummus and oil tankers filed with olive oil.
If any one of these commodities is halted, blood will flow in the streets of Egypt. Now combine all this with the Koran and walla! You have total insanity unhinged.
Great pictures, glad to see some from DC.
That fire one is amazing!
The less pc, the better!
Went to drudge and saw the awful story of the 17 firefighters dying. Terrible
Glad to help out in my own small way. May our own tyrant get his comeuppance next.
Amen.
Dictators support dictators. Let’s hope for a domino effect.
Cases of poisoning among protesters in Alexandria after drinking water distributed by unknown men:
Good heavens!
Must be bearded criminals in disguise, shaven, that is.
Love you for posting those...truly!
Am not finding as many good shots right now....news agencies are finally picking them up as well..at last! And many are repeats.
I have to say Free Republic was on this from the get go...they never drag their feet.
I suspect more from today as they begin again.
There’s much uncertainty though for the people...from the tweets etc. They don’t know what Morsi will do...the Muslim Brotherhood has waited long to get this foothold..and it’s a huge one...not going to be easy shaking them loose.
But if Obama gets his hand in this it’ll go very bad very quickly. They truly hate him and blame him for Morsi being there. They do not want him to do anything. You can see it in all the tweets and conversation blogs etc.
Again...thank you so much for watching for links...I so appretiate it....Ha! My eyes are getting tired from being on line so long ... going to take some refreshment now and cool my jets for a moment or two.
While watching this I pay attention to things such as this....why they took water from strangers I don’t know...but then it was hot.....I understand many of the health issues Sunday were from the heat more than anything else.
Am hungry...going to grab a bite and get my eyes off the screen for a bit.
And thanks to you caww, for tirelessly running down all of the links. I actually went back and read the entire thread once I got the Ping from LucyT. Thanks again Lucy, for the Ping to this thread on history in the making.
From what I read, the protests against Morsi are much larger than the groups of his supporters. MB headquarters have been firebombed; 5 last I read.

#BBC world is completely pro-MB .. something I've seen clearly in its correspondent to #Tahrir tweets yesterday
TB2 has an ongoing thread with lots of photos/tweets etc:
