Egyptian security and medical officials say an American has been killed in the Mediterranean coastal city of Alexandria during clashes between supporters and opponents of Egypt's embattled President Mohammed Morsi.
Alexandria security chief Gen. Amin Ezz Eddin told Al-Jazeera TV that an American was killed Friday in Sidi Gabr Square while photographing the battles between opposition youth and members of the Muslim Brotherhood, from which Morsi hails.
A medical official told The Associated Press the American was wounded by gunshots and died at the hospital.

The State Department said Friday that Americans should defer nonessential travel to Egypt, citing the uncertain security situation. It also said it would allow nonessential staff and the families of personnel at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo to leave Egypt until conditions improve.

Hello, long day am getting here after midnight sorry to say. But life does get in the way...
Thanks for the info...I listened to Aljazzera Live for a few minutes....they actually give better reporting than any news in the US...though surely slanted to their own bias I suppose...but at least you can see some of what is going on there.
And of course Twitter does what twitter does.....I like it for the photos which were presented here earlier.
It's not going to be a good day for the people there...many will hurt and die no doubt....unfortunately this is really not so different than our own civil war so many years ago....though as I see it the Egyptians are fighting over if Sharia Law prevails via Muslim Brotherhood...or they have freedom...as much as a Muslim might have of that.
Unfortunately the Global Agenda people are sticking there noses in as well...they will not let this g until they have Egypt positioned as they want.....will be interesting to see how this ultimately pans out..but I really see no good for Egypt for some time regardless who comes out on top of this.
I understand much of the crime has been from those thousands who escaped after Mabarak was out. Coupled with Morsi’s lack of governing and control ....he really isn’t the man for the hour as most recognize....am not sure Egypt has a man who can assume power and accomplish what Egypt needs.
THANKS for the explanation. I was ASSuming Sunni/Shiite factions.
I don't think Obozo is strong enough to destroy Christianity. He's just trying. Very trying.

Water rites with Ethiopia could also cause war....and be part of the prophecy fulfilled as the Nile does go dry pretty much. Ethiopia’s dam could have to do with initiating this when it begins pulling water from the Nile.
