Not right-thinking enough to pass their first, durable marriage amendment that precluded civil-unions as well as fake "marriages." Any state that doesn't ban even marriage-like possibilities basically did it all in vain and threw it all away.
Keep moving east when you get to AZ. Texas will be the last holdout.
Ultimately low-information voters imo.
We’ll see. I searched just about every nook and cranny of Texas to see if there was some place that either wasn’t suffocatingly humid in the summer or too windy. Couldn’t find a place. We’ll see how it goes on AZ. I guess we’ll be neighbors with Sarah Palin - could have done a lot worse.
Good luck, regardless.
Thanks. I’m resting in the Lord, who I see as the Divine Providence that brought this miracle of America into being and has watched over her. We’re in God’s hands and he will protect those that trust in Him.
somebody who has standing will sue and it will work its way through the court system.
The law is on the books ... some competent lawyer will get ahold of it. And then when it gets to the SCOTUS will they declare a right to gay marriage? Not too promising for us.
Although he voted against Prop 8 by a stupid parsing of legality that the supporters of Prop 8 had no standing. Why is it that only conservatives or Christians or patriots are always ruled against as having “no standing”? If these were liberals, the man in the moon would be granted “standing”. Scalia spit in the face of 52% of the voters in CA who voted for Prop 8. Let’s just get on with CW II! We need 2 countries, one liberal & one conservative. I am sick to death of these RAT bastard liberals & homos & uzzlims & illegal aliens.
Sodomites and their behavior MUST be celebrated!
Leftist cases get thrown out for lack of standing all the time. You just don’t notice, because those aren’t the cases you care about.
FYI: Nice to hear this (part of a quote) from Ted Cruz re: SCOTUS decision:
“....a regrettable overreach against the will of the people as expressed through large, bipartisan majorities in Congress and directly through referendum in California...The family is the fundamental building block of society, and I strongly support traditional marriage between one man and one woman.”
Walker is a homosexual plant. They judge shopped for him. The terrible thing is how do you discriminate against a “married couple”? This is a “right” that will with absolute certainty lead to anti-religious and anti-God lawsuits.
FWIW, I've sent some correspondence to my state rep and to Freedom Works regarding repeal of the 17th. This week's senate immigration betrayal and scotus rulings should be prima facie evidence for repeal.
I keep going back to senate consent for federal judges. Would a senate of the states ever consider loony-tune leftist judges capable of the recent drivel dressed up as constitutionalism?
: ( See my tagline
There is no such thing as “gay marriage”. Being gay isn’t a requirement plus gays have been marrying for centuries. They just married people of the opposite sex.
Divorce lawyers just popped the champagne.
Oh joy, we voted it down and I was so danged proud of our state for the first in a long time and these whiney****s go to copurt after court even to the supreme court. It shows just how powerful the homosexual agenda groups are. It shows so much more in the immorality of America but I’m too sick of all these scandals and the immorality to even write anymore.
Sickens me daily I can barely read anymore. I’m always angry and praying these days.
When they come for us will anyone care? Will the illegals get jobs as guards or will Obama's brown shirts do this? Will they burn churches and crucify us as bigots and haters as their free food soup kitchens and rescue missions we HELPED so many just dry up and big government fill the void as has happened( not) with shutting off the water int he central valley for the Delta river smelt?
Cousins already moved off to Australia that has similar problems.
I need two years, might be too long before I can move( disabled)
