Of all the Gang of Eight, Sen. Lindsey Graham had the most to losebut instead of playing to the base with reelection looming, he got immigration reform passed through the Senate. John Avlon on a true profile in courage.

I agree that taking Graham out next year will take McCain down a notch as well. Lindsey is such a sock-puppet.
Still, I can’t judge a sock-puppet to be as guilty as the person who games him. Lindsey is a simpleton. He doesn’t have the tools to run others. McCain does, and so he does it.
McCain is busily turning folks all the time. Look no farther than Sarah Palin, to see someone gamed at least in part by this treacherous man.
I don’t believe Lindsey is a protege of Soros. McCain is the guy that does Soros bidding.
Lindsey is an affable fool. McCain from his childhood has been a despicable human being. He starts off with his life story by telling about how he used to like to beat other kids up on the school-grounds. He did the same thing at the MIA hearings when fronting for MFN for Vietnam. He was a bully in those hearings. He could care less about anyone else but himself, and he games people constantly.
Teaming up with Dead Kennedy is an example. McCain drives evil legislation. Graham is merely his foot-stool.
I have to come down on McCain being the most vile person in either entity in Congress. He should know better. He’s a little man screwing our nation by choice.
Graham is so stupid he doesn’t even know what the options are. “Oh vote for that Senator McCain. Okay, I’ll do Senator McCain. Anything else Senator McCain.”
Is Graham loathsome? Sure. Is he worse than McCain? I can’t agree with that.
McCain is the worst.
Rubio is second
Graham is a poofter : )
Don’t get me started on Rubio, because he’s a turncoat, no doubt about it. Still, as much as I despise what he has been up to as of late, he does still have enough common sense to see some things right.
Ried, Pelosi, a number of other vile Democrats, they’re more qualified than Rubio for our disdain. That doesn’t mean I’m going to support Rubio for anything other than early retirement though.
This is another case where I have to buck the conventional wisdom,.
Lawyer Grahamnsety just plays the dumb country bumkin but he is every bit as crafty (and sleazy) as Rubio is.
Grahamnesty suggesting on a Sunday show in early 2011 that ‘ maybe we need to change the US constitution to end birthright..for those born of parents illegal here’ was no slip.
It was purposefully designed to set off a firestorm against the GOP on immigration for the exact opposite purpose as his suggestion appeared to be for, without him ever proposing anything on it.
It successfully cowed congressional Republicans to avoid the whole subject, which was his purpose(while sounding tough on illegals).
The MSM didnt attribute that quote to him, they attributed it to 'Republicans'
He knows exactly what he is doing.
We probably don’t need to change it. It never guaranteed what it has been attributed to guarantee in the first place.
I won’t characterize what Graham did differently. I will say that if I were in there I would take steps to get that aspect of the 14th amendment clarified or changed.
You advocate for what’s right, not popular. He should have followed through though, and you’re right on that issue.
If you look at Graham’s life, even right now, he simply isn’t in the same category as McCain.
Different strokes... no pun intended.
” Lawyer Grahamnsety just plays the dumb country bumkin but he is every bit as crafty (and sleazy) as Rubio is.”
Yep. 2 sleazy, lawyers. They know exactly what they are doing.
Informing SC people about the treachery of Loveable Lindsey won’t be an easy task. Most think he is “good” because they see him on the news all the time.
Grahamnesty is the biggest amnesty pusher in congress so there is no way that he wanted to change the constitution for that,
In fact he never mentioned it again and the media beat up on the GOP for weeks and never reported that it was Grahamnesty. He set them up. His whole goal was to get them to be afraid to oppose amnesty, as many of them are now.
This is an off presidential election unlike 2009
.
He will be the focus not the pres options.
Thank you for the follow-up SoL. I appreciate it.
