Defense attorney Don West quickly established that Jeantel was 18 at the time of the shooting not 16, that she had not been hospitalized, and that she was not Martin’s girlfriend. He also confirmed that she lied about the hospitalization under oath,
West walked Jeantel through the various stories she had been telling since first going public, emphasizing their discrepancies.
The most significant of those discrepancies was her claim in later interviews of having heard Martin yelling “get off, get off” once he dropped the phone after a physical exchange with Zimmerman.
West made a strong case that these later additions, like much of her story, was manufactured. Jeantel’s inability to keep her story straight reinforced that suggestion.
The fact that state prosecutors first interviewed Jeantel under oath at the home of Trayvon Martin’s mother, Sybrina Fulton, with Fulton sitting next to her on the couch did not reassure anyone that her testimony was freely given.
In a spectacularly un-coached moment, Jeantel explained that when Martin first saw Zimmerman eying him, he called Zimmerman a “creepy a– cracker.”
It may have been Martin who was doing the racial profiling. When asked, Jeantel denied that the word “cracker” had a racist implication.
On day two West bored into Jeantel’s many inconsistencies in time, space and motive. Although West did not emphasize the state’s future problem at this stage, Jeantel confirmed that Martin had several minutes to return to the house where he was staying – roughly 100 yards from the point where he started running – but never went there.

Another freeper (sorry can't remember who), on another thread, posted various news headlines from last night's coverage of this trial. They are in full defense mode of this imploding *star witness*.
Bingo!!! Her attitude on her second day of testimony was totally different. It is obvious that the prosecution worked her over about her "tude" after the first day of her testimony. Also her attitude the second day reminded me of someone that has taken about 20 milligrams of Valium. If the jury is even marginally fair, this case by Florida just WENT DOWN THE TUBES.

BTW, Ms. Jeantel's parental units (Hooray! She has two parents!) are from Haiti. Were they legal immigrants? Are they legal now?
"Normal Mainstream Culture?" Nope. "Anchor Baby Culture." Could be why they spoil her. (no work, no school, big allowance, phones, clothes, etc.) She was their key to remaining in America.

Zimmerman was not charged with anything until the political apparatus of the State decided that Zimmerman must be prosecuted. The police did not charge Zimmerman at first as they deemed it justifiable homicide.
This is a show trial. Not only is George Zimmerman on trial but justice and the rule of law are on trial. Zimmerman is but a pawn in the game of raw political power subjugating fair justice and simultaneously fanning racial hatred.
It must be noted that racial hatred is essential to the survival of the far left. Without it, they will not win elections. This trial is a travesty.

Geraldo this morning thought that West came across as a “grumpy old man” (at least to black viewes).
Of course..they speak her language.
An example is the “Get off me” means stop following me. But to us it would indicate someone is being physical. That word alone was not clarified.../p>
So there's definitely a language barrier in understanding the terms and vocabulary she used....which muddies the water without the correct interpretation made clear to those who are not of her culture. However, those in the jury will be determining this case based on what 'they understand' her to be saying...not what the actual meaning might otherwise be.

Have you just come to that conclusion because of this trial? Shoot, I’ve been there for most of this new century! There is virtually nothing I see or hear that comports with my view of life, liberty, or fairness.
