Today, June 28th, is DAY #15 (of 3rd week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case. [Yesterday] it was simply not a very good day at all for the prosecution. The primary State witnesses today were Rachel Jeantel, Jenna Lauer, and Selma Mora.
The first had her credibility substantively destroyed, the second was powerfullyalmost humiliatinglyco-opted by the defense, and the third provided testimony entirely consistent with the defenses theory of lawful self-defense. (continue reading)

Thanks for the ping!
I wouldn’t want to run in Selma Mora...I could get *two* black eyes.....
Actually this proves the defense's case because she was late in hearing the beatdown and only looked out when she heard the shot. It was after that shot that Zimmerman got on top of him and that's when she saw what she saw.
Thanks. Good to know.
There are a couple of comments at the end of yesterday’s thread that explains what she saw. GZ was briefly standing over or at the side of the body after getting out from under and he did yell to call the police. Her part of the puzzle began after the death
Think once they have all testified even the wet grass will fit into Z s initial story
Sure but it would really make the state look bad if that had to happen especially at this point since so many of the state witnesses have testified to having seen John out there close to the action. The jury at this point has to be asking “where’s John”.

This site has a pretty good map and summary
It might be early for this discussion, but is there a consensus here that says GZ should take the stand. I believe he should myself. If he just tells what I believe is the truth, the jury will believe him, other wise they might think he has something to hide. I know the prosecution will try and tear him apart but I think it’s worth the risk.
They are the bald lawyer of the prosecution. So,...?
Today 6 tv in Orlando is saying ‘John’ has changed his story.
Is ‘John’ the guy Z ask for help to secure M in reconstruction video?
I am ignorant of many details, so please bear with me. Was the interview conducted in conjunction with the police investigation or was it after they decided not to file charges?
I think they left the door open so that she is going to be called back....maybe they thought about other ways to display her lies...
There is a reason why defendants don’t take the stand — guilty or not — and a reason why that right is enshrined in the Constitution.
What did he change his story too? Let me guess...now it’s in favor of the state.
Is there anyway to get his initial statement in without him taking the stand.
IMO once he open his mouth and the jury hears his voice they will know he is the one who yelled for help. He’s got the build of a tenor The speaking voice is determined by the size of the vibration of the vocal chords.
He didn’t change it that much —
Ping for later, I’ll be on the ranch all day dang it.
The defense might be able to get his walkthrough in as evidence without him taking the stand. It might be able to be introduced by the officer who he was talking to in the video.
Month or so after incident iirc
