Ted Cruz Exposes the Amnesty Bill… $5000 Penalty for Hiring Citizens Over Legalized Aliens...

"Ted Cruz Exposes the Amnesty Bill… $5000 Penalty for Hiring Citizens Over Legalized Aliens… SERIOUSLY!!!"

We can’t possibly expect our Senators to read a 1200 page bill before voting on it. Can we? Well Thank God Ted Cruz read it. Not only did Cruz read it but he schooled anyone who would listen from the Senate floor on Tuesday. Cruz found a loophole that actually penalizes an employer $5000 for hiring a citizen over a legalized alien. Seriously. You can’t make this stuff up. Senator Cruz was quoted as saying:

“I filed an amendment that would have corrected one of the most egregious aspects of the gang of eight bill as it intersects with Obamacare legislation, namely a penalty imposed on U.S. employers for hiring U.S. citizens and U.S. permanent residents. This bill says if an employer hires a citizen or a legal immigrant, the IRS can impose a $5,000 penalty on that employer. But if the employer instead hires someone with RPI status, that penalty will go away. That is utterly and completely indefensible.”

Well, if he was picking her brain, it sounds like he picked it clean...

Not that it seems there was much meat on that bone..

It is as if the Mexican government itself has written this legislation.

Here's what Sen Jeff Sessions had to say about that...

Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.), a top member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, cited reporting from The Hill in arguing that the Mexican embassy and other foreign entities have had access to lawmakers, while the law enforcement community has been shut out.

That still doesn’t negate the fact that the morons in the Senate passed a bill without reading it. Tommy Carper (A$$hole - DE)said during the Deathcare vote that he couldn’t be bothered with reading a bill. He voted for it then and he voted for it today. Along with his Marxist buddy Chrissy Coons (A$$hole - DE).

Cruz - or anybody else - could have forced a reading and we would know what’s in there BEFORE the vote. As it is, they can claim anything and it’ll be days, weeks, months before anybody can tell the truth.

And for the NSA trolls, FU.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm not aware of any Senate rule that allows a lone Senator to force the complete reading of a bill.

A motion is made for unanimous consent to dispense with the reading of the bill prior to voting. If no one objects to the motion, the bill is not read and vote is taken.

Thanks for the explanation. I can’t answer as to why Senator Cruz wouldn’t have raised an objection to forgo reading the entire bill. I know he voted against cloture, which shut down debate.

He’s been a staunch opponent of this monstrosity from the very beginning, and has stood nearly alone in that fight.

Will someone please point out the EXACT words that prove Cruz’s allegation. They say it was fact checked but I would like to see this in writing before I believe this story. I would like to know on what page of the 2000 page document this stupidity is stated. I mean, it probably is but I am tired of going off half-cocked with some of the stuff I read. I googled this and came up with nothing but the allegation itself!
