Day 14 – (Week 3) Zimmerman Trial – Witness Discussion Thread
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | June 27, 2013 | Sundance

Posted on 06/27/2013 4:48:28 AM PDT by Uncle Chip

Today, June 27th, is DAY #14 (of 3rd week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case.

Yesterday Witness #8, Rachael Jeantel, did indeed take the stand. She will be back today to complete her testimony. This is the state’s key, and most important witness. This is also the witness we have exhaustively researched. Having quietly followed her social media, and having talked extensively, to her school classmates for over a year.

But before we discuss Jeantel, a summary:

[Yesterday] the morning saw two of the State’s witnesses testify, Jane Sudyka and Jeanee Manaloo, both of whom were residents of Twin Lakes at the time of the incident and who appeared to testify as to their observations that night. Manaloo’s cross-examination continued until after lunch, when she was followed by brief testimony from Ramona Rumph, the custodian of records for the police emergency call recordings.

Finally, the last of the State’s witnesses for the day was Rachel Jeantel, otherwise known as “Dee-Dee”, as Trayvon Martin’s “16-year-old girlfriend,” and as the last person to speak with Martin before his deadly confrontation with George Zimmerman. (continue reading)

I think it is important, it shows he thought TM might still be a threat. I believe he also asked whoever arrived to secure his weapon because he didn't have control for trying to secure TM.

"Uh... She asked if she could use the PHONE. The reason I say this is that the JUDGE responded, "Yes, as soon as you leave the courtroom."

We can agree to disagree, but I still say she was asking IF she could go home. If you recall the Prosecutor wanted to dismiss her, but the defense didn't want to dismiss her right then because they may want to have her come back later that afternoon so why dismiss her now to go back to Miami where she lives since it is a 4 hour drive. The Judge gave a break then had a side bar where the lawyers and Judge discussed this. So when they brought the witness and jury back in it was said she was dismissed, but be ready to come back if called. Rachel then was somewhat confused and said; "You mean I can go home? (meaning back to Miami because the night before she was dismissed, but only to where she was staying)The Judge then said as soon as you walk out that door. Meaning you can immediately leave to Miami.

Didn't you see how tickled she was that she was getting to go home? I know she is not to bright, but I think she knew she couldn't use her phone in the court room. In fact I am sure she would have been searched and not allowed to bring a phone into the court. So if you still want to disagree, go ahead.

Xzins, not to change the subject but if Homosexual “marriage is now recognized by the state, and pastors are quasi state officials when presiding over legally recognized marriages, I think the only safe way for churches to keep their tax free status and preach against homosexuality as a sin would be for the churches to refuse to act as government agents.

In other words, as a pastor you could preside over a marriage ceremony, but if the couple wanted to make it legal then they would have to go to the courthouse and get hitched in front of a judge.

What I would propose is that the couple sign a domestic partnership agreement with the pastor as a witness and then the pastor could perform a ceremony in front of God and the world.

Since there is no longer a relationship between marriage and Holy Matrimony a domestic partnership followed by a marriage ceremony would be a good way to preserve the institution of marriage and separate the church from having to bow to the state.

What do you think?

They removed the part with the reporter asking about JJ and AS. And the response. I listened to it twice. I hope I am wrong, but, I think it was removed. Check me...

Yes, I think your plan is viable, and it might actually be the direction we take in post-Christian America (Greek Empire III)

Holy Matrimony is a better description of the union than is marriage, anyway. Holy Matrimony, in the very word Matri(Mater) assumes “mother”. It is the holy union of man and woman establishing a safe haven for the mother and children, as Christianity envisions. It is not a union possible for a same-sex couple.

I would have no problem whatsoever doing such a service. In fact, that is the way I performed a wedding in Germany. I did so once. The marriage was performed by the state at the courthouse (their equivalent). The holy union was conducted by me at the chapel.

I have listened again. THEY EDITED IT. BBBSSSSSS!!!!!! How do they even go forward? AS finally answered that they had to edit it out, JJ agreed. They did. That’s what took so long. I heard the original.

How do these people sleep at night after being deceptive and scheming all day? It’s literally sickening to watch the evasion and deception in this press conference.

That’s why I said “You have to watch it” , and now it has been butchered. We now have to find original feed and raw video, there is more than this.

Can you tell me what exactly was edited out? Really, it reflects very poorly on the attorney and the Martin family as is. i can’t imagine how much worse it was before editing.

26:45 is where they edit it. At that point the reporter is the one that asks about JJ and AS. Then suddenly it changes subject and mood. Check me.....
