Except he is Jewish and no Jew should swear on the Christian bible.

I was raised Lutheran but I have since ‘converted’ to the Noahide faith and, like the Jews,we share the Hebrew Scriptures.

Any oath I had to take will be on the Hebrew Bible. Doing so is not disrespectful to non-Jewish family members. A Jew can remember their grandparent without taking an oath on a Christian Bible. Doing so is a slap in the face to Torah,G-d Himself and the Jewish people.

Doesn’t the Bible include the Jewish Old Testament?

I am a convert too..a ‘more’ noahide-like faith too and I have but one thing to say:

Hear, Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is One.
Blessed be the Name of His glorious kingdom for ever and ever.
And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.

Remember, Y’shuah was Jewish.

No Jew should swear an oath of office on any Bible - Jewish or Christian. It's against Jewish law and considered taking G-d's name in vain. Jews are supposed to affirm, not swear.

It's perfectly legal, and as a notary for years, I often administered affirmations instead of oaths.

That's your opinion, not shared by him, and not by all Jewish people.

Perhap's it's just a Noahcide failing?

And you are worried about what? Are you taking the oath? What’s your concern. Will Los Angeles now be lost? Hey, it already is lost. What should you do?
