Whats going on at the IRS? Dont expect answers from some of the people who work there. A manager suspected of steering hundreds of millions of dollars in contracts to a friend became the second major figure to take the Fifth at a House Oversight Committee hearing into a widening range of malfeasance at the IRS:

Did he say he did nothing wrong before pleading the Fifth?
No, he knows he did wrong! His crime will not pay...
Don’t see how it matters if he did or if he did not.
As we can all see, Issa really brought the hammer down not on the staggeringly arrogant Mizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Lerner.
Issa should keep the witness in the chair and ask the questions all day long. Make the SOB take the 5th all day, but keep asking pointed questions. At the least somebody can make campaign commercials with the video.
We need to start talking RICO Act
He’s Lois Lerner’s “brother.”
Once you make a statement you no longer can plead the fifth.
Saw video of it earlier. The minute Issa asks, “who do you directly report to in the IRS?” the mope pleads the 5th. Huh? Who is he protecting?
Here’s the guy that the jobs were funneled to;”
The company was recently named small business contractor of the year, by the Treasury department. According to Issa, the company earned a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business designation based on the owners injuries sustained during military prep school and not during active duty or in combat for the U.S. armed forces.”
“The House Oversight report also asked why Castillo received a special designation as a service-disabled veteran-owned small business 27 years after being injured in military prep school.
He was able to get this designation despite the fact that he never actively served as a member of the armed services, he played college football after the injury and 27 years went by before he sought the designation as a disabled veteran, the report said.
Castillo sought the disabled-veteran designation only months before he purchased the company, the report added.”
“Strong Castle grew from a company with about $250,000 in annual revenues to an outfit with potentially a half billion dollars in IRS contracts, in the six months after Castillo purchased the company with his wife in January 2012.”
But apparently you can. Mizzzzzzz Lerner has suffered no consequence for doing exactly that.

It’s what they use to grease the wheels of the democratic party machine...
We need to start talking RICO Act
Yes we can...

Speaking of Lois Lerner, the Oversight Committee will vote on Friday on whether her attempt to take the 5th was legal:
The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee will vote Friday on whether Lois Lerner, director of IRSs Exempt Organizations division, waived her Fifth Amendment rights when she spoke at a May 22 hearing.
In a news release today, Issa said the committee on Friday will consider whether she waived her rights. If the committee finds that Lerner waived her rights, she could be brought back

IRS along with ATF needs to be eliminated. Both agencies are poster boys for government corruption and abuse of power.
Toss the Bush II/Obama Department of Homeland Security in there with those other beauroNazis.
That is good to know. I was wondering how much time would be allowed to lapse before any action was taken on what she did.
I’ll be very interested to see how that vote turns out, and if they do call her back, what actual action will be taken.
Will DC Gossip Columnist Darryl Issa pick up the phone for people not from his district who want RICO charges pressed, ya think?
In fact, RICO needs to be added to the thread title.
