Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, sounding more and more like a presidential candidate in 2016, tore into President Barack Obama, calling his administration an utter and complete failure.
Bush was the keynote speaker Tuesday night at the Conservative Party of New York States 51st Annual Dinner in New York City, where he received the Charles M. Edison Memorial Award, named after inventor Thomas Edisons son, a former New Jersey governor and secretary of the Navy.
Also receiving the Charles M. Edison Award Tuesday night was Christopher Ruddy, the founder and CEO of Newsmax Media Inc. Ruddy called the award an incredible honor and also praised Bush for his leadership on a host of issues important for conservatives.
The influential third party founded by the late William F. Buckley Jr., and headed by its current Chairman Michael Long, is considered a major stop for presidential candidates, with every Republican candidate seeking its endorsement. The honoring of Bush will continue to fuel speculation the former Florida governor is running in 2016.
During this remarks, Bush didnt hint at his presidential plans, but he wasted no time jumping into the political fray, chastising the Republican Party for its lackluster performance in last Novembers elections and slamming Obama for what he called the poor economic state of the nation.

Jeb is a complete and utter idiot if he thinks 0blummer is a failure.
I liked Jeb as Governor, but my admiration for him has steadily evaporated away through the last years.
Heckuva job Jebby.
Jeb is wrong. Barry has been a very successful Marxist.
Nope, you’ve got it down to a tee! The GOPe might want to try a new playbook, this one’s getting quite stale (although judging from every presidential nominee since Reagan, it seems to still work).
NOT ANOTHER Bush!!!
If a Bush talks in the woods, does anyone care?
If a Bush says something and nobody is around to hear him, is he still wrong?
Says the guy who would love to be the next one (complete and utter failure, that is)
I can hardly wait for his water is wet statement.
What does this little Bush dufus have to say about JugEars executive orders to ruin coal as a fuel for electricity? You will not hear a peep.
I can’t see much difference between Jeb and Obama these days. Where are they on gay marriage, not that it matters now that the SC has overruled Democracy on the issue, or on illegal immigration, amnesty, Keynesian economics, trillion dollar deficits, anthropogenic global warming, unaffordable healthcare/Socialism? Where are they on the Islamizing of the West and treating Muslims as special citizens? When all the rhetoric finally clears, there probably isn’t enough difference to spit between them without spraying both sides.
Jeb Bush: Mitt Romney V. 2.0
“I see the posturing is already active for the 2016 campaign. Jeb versus Hillary - the Beltway fat cats will be laughing and either way, we lose. “
If Hillary runs the Republican establishment will be choosing who takes the hit for the team. Perhaps they should just run Dole, McCain, or Romney again to save a fresh face from the embarrassment.
Hmmm, he sounds tough now but not to worry...
Later he’ll pivot so fast it will make Rubio’s head spin.
Gee thanks Jeb.
Is that the new name to smear conservatives?
Another member of the statist Bush family speaketh to try and bolster his alleged conservative credentials while actually doing noting to have any of said credentials.
The Bushies appear so begnign but yet are so diabolical. For example, I love how Jeb stands behind his supposed protege Rubio. . .behind him so much that he uses the guy to be the stalking horse for his pro-amenesty push such that Rubio (a potential rival for the Repub nomination) destorys himself while leaving Jebby somewhat, I say somewhat, unschathed. Anywho, is this family the best the Republicans can do? Are we really married to a family that tried to stop Reagan while later claiming his legacy? I would really love to see someone like Scott Walker (you know, the guy with the guts to stand up to the left) take Jeb Bush out in the primaries.
Cheap, cheap...he can’t even chirp.
Bush has no political position - he’s in private business - so there really isn’t much more that he can do than simply make these statements every now and then.
And since you can see how well they are received here, I’m not surprised that he doesn’t do it more often.
Who needs to bother with the usual collection of keyboard kommandos making themselves feel macho by mouthing off because somebody doesn’t agree with them 100% on one or another issue?
And I’m not even counting the ones who become apopletic simply at the name “Bush.”
It’s no wonder we never have any decent candidates when elections roll around. The Dems don’t even have to destroy them because we’ve already done it.
