Defense attorney Mark OMara has been consistently strong in cross-examination. OMara asked Noffke whether his two questions to Zimmerman about the path Martin was taking might have inspired him to leave his truck and maintain visual contact.
Noffke answered, I understand how someone could have misinterpreted the intent of that.
Through OMaras questioning, Noffke also undermined the states implication that Zimmerman was enraged and keen on vengeance.
If anything, state witness Wendy Dorival, an African-American who served as volunteer program coordinator for the Sanford police department when Zimmermans community was organizing its neighborhood watch, proved even more helpful to Zimmermans cause.
On cross-examination by defense attorney Don West, Dorival spoke repeatedly of the many burglaries in the community.
She told specifically of how she had met with a female neighbor of Zimmermans who had endured a home invasion and was still shaken up by it.

I listened to Prosecutor whatsit’s opening statement. Would have been an emotionally moving oration, but this poser forgot that only a black person could evoke righteous black racism. His failure is that he is white. No ‘soul’ mucho ‘honky’.....ha ha ha!!!!!
Gee... I thought all of yesterday’s witnesses WERE defense witnesses.
They are now.;-)
So, is Witness #8 up today? Can’t wait to see her fancy courtroom manicure.
Anybody know if GZ will testify?
I am guessing that he will, but I have not heard such from defense.
Standard tactic is to not have him testify I’d think...the prosecutor is just waiting for this to tug at jury heart strings.
Defense should mercilessly hammer prosecution experts and explore the reasons why that precious little boy was out late scouting the neighborhood.
I heard that he will testify. But that could always change.
I understand that the President is sending a taped message to the jury about Treevon being his son or something along those lines.
But he will also speak to the fact that he wants immigration reform so that the illegals can come from out of the shadows that Trayvon was hiding in too.
Sorry for the misspelling of the young mans name. I was getting my witness nails done and slamming back some rum to start my day and forgot his spelling.
Trevon, Trayvon, Trevon, Tyrone, t-bag...
I still see the line, as presented by the AP, that Zimmerman was ordered by the 911 dispatcher to NOT follow.
First of all, he didn’t call 911, he called the non-emergency number.
Second, the dispatcher has NO AUTHORITY to order anybody to do anything.
Third, the dispatcher later in the call suggested that Zimmerman didn’t need to follow him.
That said, I think that the witnesses are painting a much different picture than the prosecution had hoped. The facts, as presented, will also make the prosecution look incredibly stupid.
This whole trial was nothing but a political sensation designed to motivate Obama supporters in Florida to vote. Nothing more, nothing less.
You know as much as I do. It's all speculation so far, from everything I have read.
I heard that he will testify. But that could always change.

I hadn’t heard that. But if things keep going the way they have the last couple of days, he definitely won’t need to.
I would guess that only his lawyers know for sure.
It has not been mentioned in the media.
If this case proceeds the way it has, there will be no need.
Oh, Gaffer, hardihar and thanks for the comment.
t-bag is good
The State's answer so far....
Wow, thats amazing, you’de thing the POS media would be beating that one to death.
I guess only thing missing was the little dog “Toto”.
Maybe the prosecution can channel a pack of “Skittles” into some semblance of a cute, harmless little dog...
This is a great article that goes through yesterday’s important testimony. Well done, and informative commentary. It’s the best I’ve seen about the trial: http://legalinsurrection.com/2013/06/zimmerman-trial-day-2-analysis-of-states-witnesses//#more
