If a country decided to militarily cross over our borders, with tanks, troops, and shooting ammo, would we stand by and say Oh My!? ( Well, maybe this administration would)
They already have. . .there have been over 200 incursions into the US by the meh-he-co army. . in the last 10-yrs.
They were NOT lost wandering the desert. They have GPS and the border is well known and marked.
Usually they are escorting drug smugglers. If drug smugglers get intercepted by US authorities then the army gets between the smugglers and the US authorities and escort the drugs back into meh-he-co.
Less costly to bribe the army than to lose a full drug load.
