While on a trip to Finland today, Russian President Vladimir Putin told reporters that wanted NSA Leaker Edward Snowden is still in the transit area of Moscow's airport, and thus, technically not on Russian soil. He also confirmed that Russian law enforcement will not arrest him or extradite him to the United States, saying he is "a free man," but the sooner he chooses his final destination, the better.
Putin also deployed one of the better similes we've heard in a while: "In any case, I would like not to deal with such issues because it is like shearing a pig: there's lots of squealing and little fleece."

Let’s see if the ego-maniac has our jets force an Aeroflot plane to land at a NATO air base in Germany.

Putin also deployed one of the better similes we've heard in a while: "In any case, I would like not to deal with such issues because it is like shearing a pig: there's lots of squealing and little fleece." Translation: Putin knows that Snowden doesn't have intelligence of any value to him or Russia so he's not going to bother with him.
To me this confirms my suspicions that if Snowden had anything of "value" beyond showing how the US Government is spying on its own citizens, he'd have been "disappeared" by now.
Snowden's got nothing of value to offer to any foreign country, other than the opportunity to mock and ridicule the Obama Administration (which many are now doing.)

No point in it.
Putin’s reply would be something like, “And your point is ...?”

This is great!
“”In any case, I would like not to deal with such issues because it is like shearing a pig: there’s lots of squealing and little fleece.”
I will use that as a new tagline.

So it’s OK with you that a traitor skates if it embarrasses a politician you disagree with? You’re quite the patriot, aren’t you?

The more I read about this the more I am convinced that Snowden doesn’t really exist. He is a figment of the RATS imagination that is being used to shift focus away from the real scandals and new legislature that will screw us royally.

For his part, Kerry tried to dial back the rhetoric on Tuesday, saying there's no need for a heated confrontation between the two countries. However, he probably should have told John McCain before the Arizona Senator went on CNN and called Russian President Vladimir Putin "old KGB colonel apparatchik that dreams of the days of the Russian empire." How many nuclear wars would we be fighting right now if this man had won in 2008?
