BOSTON (AP) -- An NHL-record unbeaten streak to start the lockout-shortened season.
Three straight victories to clinch the title.
From beginning to end, the Chicago Blackhawks skated away from the rest of the league.
Bryan Bickell and Dave Bolland scored 17 seconds apart in the final minutes and the Blackhawks rallied to win Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final 3-2 on Monday night to clinch their second NHL championship in four seasons.

Booooooooooooooo. Sorry. Don’t like the Blackhawks.
Makes me miss even more those days in the late 90s/early 2000’s when the Stars were among the elite....A distant memory now.
I imagine Detroit and Boston fans aren’t too happy right about now.
Well, we at least got the Sabres coach.
This native Chicagoan, who recalls the glory days of Hull, Mikita, Pilote, Hall, et al., but who now lives in exile in St. Louis—I am pumped about the new glory days of these Hawks! Two cups in four years!
LOL at the first press conference....the first question asked was
“So, Lindy, what do you think now of that goal in the summer of 1999?”
To which Lindy responded, “How did I know that was going to be the first question?”
I am a fan of the game, not a team. Good kickin’ azz, Blackhawks!
Then go back to Anaheim. This was an AWESOME series.
It really was! A classic! Every sports fan could enjoy this.
Much better than watching the Thug NBA Finals.
I am not a Bruin fan, but it was reported that Patrice Bergeron played with cracked ribs, torn cartilage (probably around those ribs) and a separated shoulder. That is a hockey player and a great competitor. Congrats to the B’Hawks.
Ps: You won’t find an NBA player playing with those painful injuries!
I can still hear Ralph’s voice. “The Stars win the Stanley Cup! The Stars win the Stanley Cup!” I was about half asleep.
Don’t like the Ducks either, nor my team choking a 3-1 game lead to the eventual champs.
Was a good series however.
LOL, everybody was. That was quite a downer, as I couldn't yell for fear of waking up the newborn.
Yep. Loved watching Bobby Hull, Stan Mikita, and Tony Esposito. Nice to see them win.
I’d like to point up that there are at least 10,000 Chicago hockey fans swarming Wrigleyille right now. Not one single business has been set on fire. As of now not a single gunshot has been fired.
People are leaving in a reasonably orderly fashion. Yea, a bunch of drunk people will throw up in the alleys, urinate in inappropriate places, and a few arrests will be made.
I suppose it’s racist of me to even make such an observation. I remember when the Bulls won their last championship.
One of my law school classmates was a Sabres fan. He didn’t like the Wings for signing Hasek and Hull. He absolutely loved the Stars...
I think we’d be shocked and amazed at some of the injuries those guys currently have. Jagr and Toews were pretty beat up tonight (adrenaline does wonders apparently). Great game - wonder if Nobama will talk about watching Gretzky play for the Blackhawks back in the day... :-)
