"As you may know, Jim is a passionate advocate of gun-control and I respect both his politics and his opinion, but I'm baffled by this sudden announcement as nothing seen in this picture wasn't in the screenplay eighteen months ago

I'll bet he didn't return the check.

Do it, don’t do it, nobody will watch it anyway. You’re as relevant as Timothy Leary.

This is his excuse to save face.

He is a kook in ohter matters.

The studios just cancelled “dumb and dumber to.”

"I’m sorry, Jim who?"

He's that guy who almost makes Jerry Lewis look funny.

He's got a great future in from of him.

In France.

“You’re as relevant as Timothy Leary.”

Jim Carrey’s movie career is as dead as Timothy Leary’s body.

“I did Kickass a month b4 Sandy Hook and now in all good conscience I cannot support that level of violence,”

Why? Sounds like he is saying that movie violence causes real violence. That wont make him popular in Hollywood.

Jim is SOOO caring. He is not the empty vessel that, deep down, he knows he is. By sitting on the toilet and coming up with a screwball connection between a worthless movie he made and a sad act of violence by a crazy person, it shows he cares, dammit!

Jim Carrey’s movie career is as dead as Timothy Leary’s body.

I'm not sure about that. Mr. Popper's Penguins was a terrible movie which got terrible reviews.

It still made almost $200mm at the box office, or more than three times its budget.

His previous star vehicle, Yes Man did similarly well.

The Burt Wonderstone movie was arguably Carell's vehicle to flop, not his.

Carrey - although highly overrated in my opinion - seems to still have some box office clout.

Does he own the franchise? Kick Ass #3 is already out.

SOMEONE will make Kick Ass 2, if they think it will make money, unless the suddenly conscientious Mr Carrey already bought the rights to it. If he wants to put millions on the line for his conscience, I guess I can support that.

Another one character actor whose distinguishing identifier is STUPIDITY. If he doesn’t like our life and Constitution in America he can drag his sorry A** back to Canada and make his living there. He peaked on Mad TV and that was almost twenty years ago.

Carrey is an example of an actor whose career went downhill when he decided to become a “serious” actor instead of sticking to comedy. I’ve never seen any of Carrey’s serious movies and none of his movies for at least ten years. He wasted his considerable comedic talent as far as I’m concerned.

You’ve got to be kidding!

Congressional democraps call actors to committee hearings to tell them what to do all the time.

“Carrey.....seems to still have some box office clout.”

Hmmmm. I didn’t know that.

I’ve heard of “Mr. Popper’s Penguins,” but I’ve never seen the movie. I’m surprised it grossed $200 million. That’s impressive.

I haven’t heard of “Burt Wonderstone” or “Yes Man.”

Have to say, I like his ex......Jenny McCarthy......much better! She’s hot.
