Police say an armed man trying to rob customers outside an Atlanta shoe store was fatally shot by one of the patrons waiting in line to buy sneakers.
WSB-TV reports the shooting happened Saturday morning in the city's Little Five Points neighborhood, where people lined up outside Wish Clothing to buy new $180 sneakers endorsed by Miami Heat star LeBron James.

It depends: did they have a "no cutting" rule.
“I am sure the others in line let him back in place.
It depends: did they have a “no cutting” rule.”.
The shooter had a gun, who would not let him have his place back?
Any photos or descriptions of the two individuals involved? “Little Five Points” isn’t an amish enclave. It’s a punk/”hispter” area (or it use to be). The regular “Five points” is 100% amish.
Agreed, and NUTZ to pay that for any of them. But their EBT Cards have no problem with coughing-up our money.
“Sensible shoes...” LOL.
“people lined up outside Wish Clothing to buy new $180 sneakers endorsed by Miami Heat star LeBron James.”
Do they got the velcro?
“I’m walking on sunshine...woe, woe...”
Ten bucks says that the gun used to shoot the robber was not properly acquired, and I bet it holds more than seven bullets. On the positive side is sounds like the guy had good aim - no mention to how many times the perp was shot.
The Amish shoe store, where this sort of thing almost never happens.
Do I see the new Eli Yoder high tops on the shelf right under the Samuel Hershberger straw hats right next to the Jonathan Byler mud boots? I would clean out Isaac Troyer’s barn and clean the mud off his buggy to own a pair of them!
Yeah, but the rest of them gots guns, too, and the shooter is already down one or two. I think they all wanted to live to wear their new "prescription" shoes the doctor ordered and we bought for them.
Thou shalt not covet...shame on you.
Although I was speaking more in terms of morals and character I do agree with the “helped ammunition sales” part.
Do not disturb the bros when they are lined up to buy sneaks. :-)
A punk feeling lucky?
The shooter:"I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?"
Very interesting given that the Zimmerman trial has just started in Florida..
The Atlanta police are being *very* slow in identifying the decedent. I don’t see any reason why. The crowd was black, the man who defended them and shot the robber was black. Is it because the robber was black as well?
Maybe the PD doesn’t want to give black people the idea that it’s okay to defend themselves with guns.
The shooter stimulated ammunition sales so this helps the economy
How about they don't want to expose the shooter to revenge by the perp's associates?
Decedent = dead guy. They are not identifying the dead guy.
It makes sense not to identify the armed defender. But they have had the dead guy on ice for a while. So why no ID on the dead guy?
It was a black on black incident I’m sure. Moreland AVe is not a place Whitey wants to show his face.
