LONDON: Maria Sharapova blasted Serena Williams on Saturday for the American's controversial comments over a high-profile rape case and even criticised the Wimbledon champion's colourful private life.
In an astonishing attack on the world number one, which comes just two days before Wimbledon gets underway, Sharapova told Williams to keep her opinions to herself as the bitter relationship between the two was laid bare.

My impression of Serena’s comments is that she isn’t supporting the boys who did the deed, but criticizing the girl for having put herself in such a vulnerable position.
As harsh as it is, Serena is correct.
It must be ‘tough’ being female. Too many wanting to be like men.

Sharapova is ruining the game with that preposterous little song she warbles every time she hits the ball.

If she had adhered to the advice of statement #1, the criminal actions in statement #2 would probably not have happened.

With all due respect, Maria, Serena is entitled to her opinion and entitled to express it.

Uncle Chip, I can envision a situation where the sound of Maria’s grunts would not annoy you but would be music to your ears.
She could double-fault me anytime!!!
Yeh but the closest you will ever get to that sound of music is envisioning.
Sharapova’s entire match routine is devoted to “watch me” “listen to me bellow” “let me delay play with my back to opponent” me, me, me. My husband and I argue every time she plays, he thinks she is fabulous, I think she is a head case.

Williams made the comments because one of the rapists was black....if both rapists were white....Serena would say nothing
