Rest o the title: Said She Wanted Black People to Tap Dance Around Like in Shirley Temple Days
Attorneys for Paula Deen said Tuesday that a former worker who claimed she was sexually harassed and subjected to a hostile work environment at a restaurant co-owned by Deen and her brother made false claims after the celebrity chef refused to pay her to keep quiet.
A lawsuit filed Monday by Lisa Jackson makes false allegations against Paula Deen and they will be proven false in court, said a statement from the Oliver Maner law firm, representing Deen. The law firm said the suit was filed in a local court after the Southern cooking star refused to pay the woman to address false claims.

Oops!
Does this mean I can sue rappers for using the N-word?
>> you know what I mean...
I do.
Didn’t know Paula was an Obunga suck-up since the only time I watch FOOD is to see the white haired guy on Drive-ins, Diners & Dives(?). I only watch him because I’m trying to figure out how he can visit all those places and eat all that stuff and not WEIGH A TON?! I won’t miss Paula.

There is nothing the liberal community fears more than the word for which this poor woman loses her job. The forlorn attempt to suppress the use of the term is ridiculous as the term in question is often so descriptive and places the object of the term in proper perspective that it is well worth keeping in reserve for appropriate usage.
Last time I checked, there was still a FIRST AMENDMENT to the Constitution allowing FREEDOM OF SPEECH.
Now you are crucified on a cross of POLITICAL CORRECTNESS for any misstatements you made from years ago.
So, does this mean that I, a white guy, can file suit against two African-American “ladies” who sat near me at a picnic table outside of our work and repeatedly used the “N-word” to each other while talking about other African-Americans?
They made me feel so uncomfortable that I finished the rest of my lunch elsewhere.
In my opinion, what ever venture Paula does in the future, I doubt that she will lose more than very few fans. Which of us has not, at sometime in the past, said something that is considered not PC correct now? Don’t look at me to cast the first stone. Paula is not one of my favorite people to get recipes from but still, I feel for her. She has that southern makes me feel at home personality. I would like to teach her to say “oil” though instead of “ole” . LOL
I see perfect examples of the N word everyday on TV or the Internet.
I unfortunately do not see as many who do not qualify for that designation. West, Williams, Cain, etc are rare examples.
Don’t want to be called the N word, don’t act like one. There are also many examples of the W word, Wiggers who’s actions earn them the dubious title.
Paula is a lib...who used the N-word.,,so will be called a Republican hereafter.
I can top that. A few years ago, I was flying from Dallas to New Orleans with a stop in Houston. Somehow, I ended up seated in the middle seat, right in between two similar women who carried on a very similar conversation - right across me.
Fortunately, they de-planed in Houston and I had the row to myself for the second leg of the flight. The flight attendant even brought me a bourbon and coke on the house. She was probably grateful that I didn't interject and start a big fight. Heck, I know when I'm outnumbered - and outweighed.

All that said...ninnyhammer and all...I just don’t believe her accent is entirely real. She might be southern, and she might have an accent, but she intentionally overdoes it.
Drives me up the wall.
Now THERE’S a reason to fire her. :>)
And it really doesn’t matter ‘cause I stopped watching anyway.
Read some history.
They NEVER tire of eating their own, until there are none left.
I well know history...thus my comment “Well. you know what I mean...”
Let me get this straight. Paula Deen said the n-word, so she is being sued? For saying a word? That the offended people in question call each other a hundred times a day?
What the hell is it going to take before we recognize the last straw?
A PR advisor said this morning on CNN that Paula needed to pledge millions from the profit of her next book to the NAACP in order to make up for the wrong she had done the black community.
That sounds like a swindle to me.
Perhaps everyone, Black or White, or any other race, who uses “forbidden” words should be fined into penury.
The outraged may then become outraged for a good reason, rather than using their nonsensical hysteria to fleece
essentially innocent people of other races over a stupid word.
