A home-invasion plot was foiled Wednesday night when a Jacksonville resident shot and killed one of the assailants, authorities said.
Police responded to a report of shots fired about 11:20 p.m. at the home in the 2000 block of Oak Water Drive.
Multiple males attempted to enter the house, Sgt. T.K. Waters said. When the first assailant was shot, the others fled.

Information about the others was scarce, but a man was found dead a short time later in a parking lot of a veterinary clinic about two miles away. Correction: two...

Good riddance. Death penalty for home invasion is appropriate and just.

Do we have any photos of him when he was 12 years old??They can probably just interchange it with a childhood photo of St. Trayvon of Martin.

Too round a face to look like a son, if Obama would have had a son.
Must be one of the thousands of ‘cousins’.

I hate to say it, but here in Florida, virtually all “home invasions” (by blacks or by whites) are done by people who know the “victim,” are usually selling drugs with him or to him, and either have a vendetta against him or think that they can get big bucks by robbing him or him and his associates.
Still, even if a thug kills another thug, that’s one less thug and therefore community service.
That said, there are occasional home invasions here that are really just that, where some poor little old lady or elderly couple living some place remote or even in a gated community without much personal contact have attracted the attention of thugs (black or white). In this case, the killer of the thug should get the super community service medal (in addition to remaining alive).

“When the first assailant was shot, the others fled.”
How disappointing, you’d think the dudes would be bad to da bone & doubled down on the homeowner, screaming,
“You shot my homie, you white M*****f*****!!! We gonna kill you REAL bad, now! Ain’t afraid of your f***ing gun NOHOW!!”

The victims of most home invasion robberies are typically engaged in some sort of illegal activity thereby causing them to not report the robbery.
Those that do make the news when shots were not fired are the relatively few instances where the robbers had the wrong address, or mistakenly believed the occupants would not report the crime.

Antwan? Seriously?
Antwan's now sharing a hot tub (minus the water) with St. Trayvon of Martin.

According to the updated story, two are now dead—the second body found at a dumpster.
The witness talking on camera described the numerous shots fired as the “Gunfight at the OK Corral”. Evidently, one of the intended victims retrieved a 9mm with a rather large magazine.

A home-invasion plot was foiled...The plot was clearly not foiled. It happened. But the results did not go as the perpetrators planned.

Possibly, but remember....two shots sound like “automatic weapon fire” to a whiney liberal.
