Hillary Rodham Clinton mused aloud about the significance of America electing its first female president. Left unsaid: whether she might try again to be the one.
In a video of a private Clinton speech posted to YouTube on Friday, Clinton told a Canadian audience that she hoped the U.S. would elect a woman to the White House because it would send exactly the right historical signal to men, women and children. She said women in politics need to dare to compete and the nation needs to take that leap of faith.
Let me say this, hypothetically speaking, I really do hope that we have a woman president in my lifetime, Clinton said at a womens conference in Toronto on Thursday night. And whether its next time or the next time after that, it really depends on women stepping up and subjecting themselves to the political process, which is very difficult.
The former secretary of state told the cheering audience that she would certainly vote for the right woman to be president.

This “sending signals” crap is the stuff of the Burson-Marsteller public relations firm. Substance matters not. It’s all about sending signals. To whom? To what end? We are the freaking United States of America! What the hell do we care about sending signals?
I remember in about 1984 pondering with my hunting buddies what was going to happen to our country after Reagan’s second term. It’s way worse than we pondered!
Soooo,
What kind of signal was sent in electing a negro with little experience?
Signal? Signal to whom? Who listens to Hillary Clinton’s dog whistle of sexist self-interest? Oh, just any woman, right? The time is right for ovaries in the Oval Office, right? Maybe we should choose more functional ones if so.
Sarah Palin’s a woman, moreso than Hillary Clinton, who seems to have internalized a great deal of stereotypically negative masculine behavior that she herself would excoriate in actual males.
So, maybe Hillary’s just not quite woman enough to qualify under her own criteria.
The election of the Obamanation sent a signal all right: Don’t elect a lazy, left-wing, dishonest community agitator just because he’d be the first black president. Hillary’s election would signal: Don’t elect a left-wing, dishonest, intemperate, lazy wife of an ex-president just because she’d be the first woman president.
How about sending a signal that ability, experience and values matter? As a bonus, choosing the best possible president in 2016 would send a "diversity" signal that liberals are supposed to care about.

Her hubby told her to say this and that is why I reference the bent one.
So.....Hillary is voting for Sarah Palin ?
Because Hillary sure isn’t talking about herself....there is no leadership from a cuckolded wife
Clinton is a lying evil beast who has shown she doesn’t have the character or integrity to handle the 3 a.m. phone call.
My thoughts exactly. Palin would be a much better choice for a female president.
BOTUS
It’s not what’s between your legs, you dumba**ed Klintoon moron, it’s what’s between your ears, and you ain’t got it there!
take that leap of faith.
Not working out for the US — and it hasn’t been the a full 8 yrs...then again, there might not be a US to elect a president in 2016 — if the Immigration problem isn’t dealt with - the O Administration isn’t impeached - and those responsible for the murder of 4 US Citizens jailed to “SEND a message to men, women, and children that if you get elected by fraud, place czars in positions where they commit crimes against the Republic, and campaign during a national security crisis instead of dealing with it as a leader — this is what happens - YOU GO TO PRISON after being convicted of treason against the nation after swearing an oath to protect it...Clinton should watch what she’s asking for...
Yeah, let us know when you find one, Hillary.
What signal- that the end is here?
The left is hypocritical. They had their chance to push for a female president in Condi Rice. But Rice was on Bush’s side, so they trashed her.
When the left stops being hypocritical I’ll start listening to them. (never)
After picking the most embarrassing insulting incompetant U. S. hating first (half) Black president we could have, she now hopes we’ll pick the most embarrassing insulting incompetant U. S. hating first woman president we could, namely her.
Ah..., NO!
Thank you very much.
