In an earlier thread on this topic, someone voiced a suspicion that these troops with fresh riot-control training were in fact going to be sent to protect the U.S. Embassy (in Cairo, presumably). I suspect that is correct, because a Beghazi re-run at the hands of Morsi's Muslim Brotherhood thugs would be "a bridge too far" in terms of scandal survival.
