TED CRUZ LAUNCHES NATIONAL PETITION DRIVE AGAINST GANG OF EIGHTS IMMIGRATION BILL
** Sign the petition here.
Breitbart.com reported:
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) launched a national petition on Thursday to stop the Senate Gang of Eights amnesty bill and send Washington a strong signal of the grassroots opposition to the bill.
This is urgent, Cruz wrote in an e-mail to supporters. We must stop this Gang of 8 immigration bill, which would give amnesty to an estimated 11 million illegal immigrants with no guarantee of a secure border.
The Senate debate is in the final stages and we need to send Washington a strong signal of the overwhelming grassroots opposition to this amnesty bill from Americans across the country, Cruz explained.
Cruz urged supporters to share the petition with friends and to act nowwithout delayto help us defeat amnesty and stand for legal immigration!
FYI: The current proposed bill will still allow illegal immigration.

Ditto here. And any border security amendments passes will just be ignored anyway, as such laws always are, while the rest of the amnesty part will be fully implemented.
But I think Rubio's goal is to kill the bill with an amendment that won't pass Democrat muster.
I don’t believe that’s Rubio’s goal at all. It’s to give a fig leaf to a few sniveling Republicans who need a tad more cover to pass it.
If Cruz wanted to fund raise then why not go along with theevil Amnesty bill as then he would get all the funding from liberal billionaires like Zuckerberg ( the fake conservative radio ads) , Soros ,Lewis and the hundreds of liberal organizations they fund , the government grants etc.
Cruz is doing the right thing by opposing this Amnesty bill and many democrat/liberal trolls on here go against him for that
Going directly to a fund-raising form for Ted Cruz on the site turned me off.
I’m afraid this doesn’t help anything, and instead makes it all seem like more political garbage.
Write your senators is probably the best bet. Individual letters/emails have as strong an effect as an internet petition, but I was prepared to sign a real petition drive. Instead, I found a fund-raising drive.
Fundraising is mostly done by private contractors. In too many instances if the candidate doesn’t have the understanding with them that if the respondent can’t donate but wishes to volunteer the percenter (person answering phone) files that in the waste basket. This happens every election because the candidate has little control over what those percenters say or do, except fire the whole bunch
Those Ryan,Rubio, pro amnesty stampede ads are being run by a “conservative”front group financed by the heavies.
Cruz doesn’t have that kind of “bread” but if he wants to get a message warning out to America that the present offerings in both the House and the Senate must be stopped he is supposed to fund it with his own money is what you’re saying.
Sorry, I meant Cruz, not Rubio. Too early.
Good points
this Amnesty bill must be stopped
ANYTHING that tries to kill this bill is good
trolls are out in force
what do these trolls want 50 million more immigrants ( the relatives of the Amnestied)to move to the USA to get obamacare and welfare?
That’s not what I’m saying.
Cruz, in the unfortunate fashion of most Texas conservatives, has been playing the Comprehensive Amnesty bill halfway. Sure, he has nits to pick with it, but he doesn’t come out against the larger atrocity of it.
Cruz is trying to kill this Amnesty bill
All Americans should support killing this bill
Who wants 50 million more 3rd world immigrants( the relatives of the newly amnestied) invading the USA?
I like Cruz. Every time I’ve listened to him speak or read what he’s said, I find it sincere, uplifting and inspiring.
I like being uplifted and inspired. It’s a lot more fun than being pissed off — which is the sentiment the RINOcracy typically evokes.
Does singing it pit me on some NSA watch list?
I’d sign it but I’m too scared I’ll be added to the Fedral Governement’s list of “Know Xenophobes and Racists”, if I’m not on it already.
s/b federal... “known...
Honestly, I think the Latino/Hispanic/Mexican group that is the “face” attached to this topic is way off base. It’s misleading. It’s what Obama wants everyone to think about,,while he is thinking about lining up a path for his Syrian, Libyan, Egyptian rebel jihadi buddies to come to the US and take full advantage of the immigration ‘reform.’ Keeping the hispanic face front and center is deceptive. He has much more sinister plan on deck.
If your posting here you are probably already on the NSA watch list.
Enjoy your stay.
Yeah that'll work.

Slow path to progress for U.S. immigrants: 43% on welfare after 20 years
The study, which covers all immigrants, legal and illegal, and their U.S.-born children younger than 18, found that immigrants tend to make economic progress by most measures the longer they live in the U.S. but lag well behind native-born Americans on factors such as poverty, health insurance coverage and homeownership.
The study, based on 2010 and 2011 census data, found that 43 percent of immigrants who have been in the U.S. at least 20 years were using welfare benefits, a rate that is nearly twice as high as native-born Americans and nearly 50 percent higher than recent immigrants.

Alas, he’s quibbling around the edges of the bill. Quibbling around the edges is not the way to kill something.
