Chris Simcox, who founded a border-watch group known as the Minutemen to look for illegal immigrants coming into Arizona from Mexico, has been arrested in Phoenix on suspicion of having sexual contact with three girls under the age of 10, police said.
Mr. Simcox, 52, was arrested Wednesday and booked into the Maricopa County Jail on suspicion of two counts of molestation of a child, two counts of sexual conduct with a minor and one count of attempted molestation of a child, according to reports.
Police said Mr. Simcox has denied the allegations.

It says MCSO made the arrest. Would Sheriff Joe set up a minuteman. There numerous minutemen in Sheriff Joe’s Posse.

Well, I said “if we’re talking about a sexual predator”. I don’t know that he is one, or if he did anything, at this point. Just saying that you can’t tell anything about whether the crime alleged is believable just by looking at the age of the victims.

I am sure as soon as the nature and depositions of the accusers is made public, we will see the holes in their testimony...There are a lot of smart legal types that haunt these forums...
Personally I would not fault the girls in this case if the allegations prove to be false...Those that drove them to accuse, are the ones we need to hang by their ankles when all is said and done...

The charge was a blatant lie and everybody knew it, so he circulated it as a whispering campaign. Asked why he bothered circulating something so palpably false which the opponent would deny, he narrowed his nasty, pig eyes (typical DemonRat) and said, "I just want to hear him say it." He knew the power of a charge of pedophilia to unstarch voters' commitment to any candidate made the target of such a charge.

It was Coronado NM, not Organ Pipe. He was only a few feet inside the national park, but a rangerette was after him and busted him. That area, like most of the other fed lands around here, are closed to law-abiding citizens, either proverbially or literally (e.g. Buenos Aires NWR). The illegals have controlled those areas for at least 15 years.

I’m not sure anyone’s mentioned this yet, but—
the thing with sexual abuse charges is that they are made anonymously. If they are minors, it is nearly impossible to cross examine them.
Such charges smear the defendant for life, and they are burdened with proving their innocence under the presumption of guilt. I guess perverse laws are required for perverse acts, but it is easy to see how quickly such exceptions can be exploited.
