REP. PAUL RYAN (R-WIS.): Not now, but in the future we're going to have labor shortages. We have 10,000 people retiring each and everyday in America when the Baby Boomers retire.

Anyone over 30 who worships Ayn Rand like this clown does is an overgrown child. He’s as deep as a puddle.

40 million people out of work, and this clown talks about labor shortages.

Has he had a physical checkup lately?

A mental health pit-stop might be indicated here.

It will be shouted down here but Romney ran on a program of border security and self deportation.

I never thought Ryan added anything to the ticket. He is not even remotely ready for prime time.

Them aside, I’m so frightened for my country. All of this is so irresponsible and the discussion is completely shallow even on the most major issues.

‘I’m a little slow, what’s the real unemployment numbers? ‘

Here’s the key I believe that noone is talking about. The illegals are attractive to business because they can be paid at below minimum wage, not paid on a regular basis and even get stiffed on the last 2 or 3 paychecks on a project. As Bill Murray would have asked: Who you gonna call?

Call the police, and run the risk of having their immigration status made generally known? No way.

Once the illegals become legal, then employers are going to have to treat them just like all of the other American citizens. The side effect this will have(I never realized that I could think so subtly), is that business will seek out another group of people that they can mistreat and underpay with no repurcussions. Can you say, ‘New Wave of Illegal Immigration’?

This whole immigration thingy needs to be dropped now until all possibilities and outcomes are debated and understood.

Commenys:

This man is insane! 8% (really about 18%) unemployment and this idiot is talking about labor shortages.

We won't have shortages of laborers and we will have surplus of work if we stop killing pre-born babies, toss out birth pills, and put moms back to work in the homes.

and:

The immigration bill gives a 13 year path to citizenship. It appear that during that time, they will not have to have Obamacare, which mean their employers don’t have to give them medical plans. Who do you think low skill employers are going to hire?

For the new homegrown babies we have a road map to guaranteed citizenship immediately, with a plan for full voting rights in 18 years.

Send the unlawfully resident migrants back as born-again missionaries of "democracy" to their own huddled masses yearning to be free. We'll be glad to export the things they can pay for.

Don't forget his moral framework ‘10 year balance budget resolution’ that cuts medicare not until 10 years later,.

Ryan is the conservative budget wizard boy wonder I was lectured here many times. Hows that working now?

Is his hair on too tight?

Is there something in the water?

The US labor force participation rate is the lowest it has been in years.

On what planet does this guy live?

Do any of these guys have a clue????

THE ABOVE ARE REFERENCES TO PAUL RYAN, NOT A FREEPER.

The low labor force participation rate indicates we are not short of labor and therefore refutes Ryan’s argument that the immigration bill needs to be passed because of a “shortage of labor.”

The bulk of our inhabitants - I hesitate to call them "citizens" - are reproducing below ZPG rates thanks to abortion, the career decisions of feminists, and the demise of traditional marriage.

There is one group, however, that is multiplying like bunnies - the Muslims. Another twenty or so years they won't have to fly airplanes into buildings. But they will mop up the remaing "Infidels" as they have everywhere else that they have attained majority status.

I know. And Ryan was supposed to be the “solid” part of the 2012 GOP ticket... the one to placate conservatives. Now we see him pushing amnesty and giving a thumbs-up to gay adoption.

Things like this epitomize why I’ve gone from a reliable, decades-long Republican Party supporter and voter to someone who now has an immediate and instinctive distrust towards anyone the GOP heralds.

It will be shouted down here but Romney ran on a program of border security and self deportation.

That was another fake Romney position that he adopted for the campaign.

In reality Romney has a personal history of hiring illegals himself, the worst scandal of it that I have ever heard about a politician, he was busted in December of 2006, and then a second time exactly a year later, after the December, 2007 debate, when he said that Giuliani was making it up about his "Sanctuary Mansion".

The Democrats ~ some of them anyway ~ said his budget had a problem in that it didn't actually add up. He didn't respond that their math was wrong, just that they had bad ideas.

I took a look myself and there was funny stuff in there but i know how federal budgeting is developed and there are so many eyes on the smallest parts that the math always adds up whether you want it to or not ~ so whatever Ryan thought he had, it'd be different anyway, so no worry.

NOW we find he's worried about labor shortages during the Great Obama Recession.

He actually has a serious problem.
