Republican congressman questions Obama’s ‘validity’

A Republican congressman is reviving the birther conspiracy and calling on Congress to revisit key issues that he says test “the president’s validity.”

When pressed by conservative radio host Rick Wiles last week, South Carolina Rep. Jeff Duncan played along with a conspiracy dubbed by Wiles as “the original scandal”: President Obama’s “phony identification papers.”

Duncan, who chairs the House Homeland Security Oversight Subcommittee, went on to suggest that investigations into President Obama’s place of birth was an issue deserving of the Supreme Court’s attention.

WILES: But if we know they’re lying about all these other things, why not go back and say, “well maybe the first scandal was a lie, too?”

DUNCAN: There you go. I’m all with you. Let’s go back and revisit some of these things because Americans have questions about not only the IRS scandal but also about the president’s validity.

No, there was a short-form COLB put on the internet earlier, and a long-form COLB put on the internet by Obama. Neither one, strictly speaking, is a birth certificate.

Just a difference in semantics and abbreviations. Every purported birth document image put out on the Net by Obama and his supporters up until now is fraudulent!!!

Knowing that your knowledge of the State Dept. is extensive, are you confident that Duncan has access to the State Dept. records? The perfidy of Homeland Security, the lies of Napolitano unchallenged by Congressmen who interrogate her but don't frame the inconsistencies in her own testimony doesn't give much confidence. Napolitano denies, and later can't remember, whether there were any Saudi citizens arrested after the Boston Marathon bombing, denying that any Saudis who had never attended the Colleges they used as the reason for their visas were sent out of the country and declared potential terrorists.

If Obama were a natural born citizen that citizenship could not be lost by his naturalization before majority in Indonesia, from the precedence established by Perkins v. Elg - Marie Elg could not have her birthright citizenship, granted by nature, denied by men. That is the difference between naturalized citizenship and citizenship granted by natural law. But if we honor our laws, Obama was a citizen for having been born in Hawaii, a “native-born citizen of the US” but not a “Native” or “natural born citizen”, by the 14th Amendment, but lost it when he was naturalized by Lolo, as I believe you pointed out. He never petitioned for US citizenship after he become an adult (isn't there time specified, six months or so after majority?) So it is possible, though perhaps not relevant, that Obama is not even a legal citizen. Presidents must be natural born, but this administration clearly considers the Constitution a living document, which they can reinterpret at their will.

Rep. Duncan (R-SC) chairs a House oversight committee for the Department of Homeland Security and not the State Department. DHS is the custodian of all U.S. immigration records.

Only an immigrant has a motive to falsify a U.S. based birth certificate. Consequently, Rep. Duncan could and should initiate an investigation into the immigration records to determine what information they have on Obama/ Barry Soetoro / Steve Dunham / Barry Dunham / Harrison J. Bounel/ Harry Bounel/ etc ...
