EXCERPT
Lees argument is not based on the NSA or its monitoring of the nations communication. Rather, Lee said, there are indications that Roberts originally intended to vote against the act, but that a public campaign of intimidation made him change his mind.
First, the senator claimed the opinion was written in a way to suggest he switched his vote, and that the dissenting opinion reads like it was originally written as the majority. He added that several news outlets reported that Roberts did change his vote, based on insider information.
Not only that, he said, but the court performed an unusual feat of legal gymnastics in upholding the legislation, particularly with regard to whether the fines incurred are or are not taxes. They had to re-write sections of the the bill not once, but twice.
Lee continued to say that he has no evidence that Roberts was being blackmailed, but said that doesnt mean Roberts wasnt under any kind of direct pressure."

Thank you so much for your thoughtful reply! It’s obvious you have given much prayerful consideration to what is going on all around us.
>> I certainly dont advocate loyal lockstep of anyone or anything, other than the Lord Jesus! :)
We are in total agreement there. JESUS alone is worthy of praise and emulation. Without Him was nothing made. And before Him all knees WILL bow and all lips WILL confess.
>> What Im frustrated with are comments that Ive heard people on FR make lately like America, nice idea, didnt last. or, Its all over folks.
I don’t *agree* with those comments, because I am an optimist. I believe in my heart that this Christian nation is a part of GOD’s plan, and our best days can be ahead of us, if we so choose.
We are in great need of revival though; without Christian revival, our prospects *are* indeed grim.
Please keep in mind that while GOD extends His saving grace, through the redemptive work of JESUS, to EVERY individual that believes on His Son, He *does* also work at the level of nations, raising some and lowering others. And nations that collectively turn their back on YAHWEH are doomed. As a student of GOD’s word, you know this is true; both Old and New Testament history are replete with examples of it.
Therefore, we Christians MUST first repent of our own sin. Then, since each of we Christians is a part of the priesthood (see 1 Peter 2), we must “weep between the porch and the altar” (see Joel 2:17), begging GOD to save our nation.
Otherwise, those “cynical quips/jokes” like “America, nice idea, didn’t last” just MIGHT come to pass. The difficult truth is, if America continues down the path it is on, those “quips” are not cynical, they are a possible outcome. I choose to believe that will NOT happen, but the possibility is there.
May GOD shower His rich blessings on you and your household in JESUS’ name, and may He give you strength and the peace that passes all understanding!
FRegards
Ignore these fools, they have no clue. I know what Glenn goes through just to leave his house. He life is hell thanks to thousands of kooks who want to kill him yes death threats every day. He could quit tomorrow but he truly wants to see this country turn back to God and the constitution. So let these guys rip him I know where his heart is and thank you for your support of him.
Thanks!
It does get tiring “arguing with idiots” :)
How about all you negative assholes go play someplace else. You don’t like beck but constantly post on threads about him.Nothing better to do? I guess not.
LOL
Get off your high horse! Beck has done this same thing repeatedly and I don’t care if you like me calling him out on it or not.

Agree with all you said.—————

I do believe we are suffering God’s judgement for the 60 mil+ murders of babies in this country.
I have a spark of hope because of this:

Even if it gets shot down in the Senate, at least it shows maybe, maybe people’s hearts are softening and they are actually feeling the weight of the horrific sin of holocaust against these innocent ones committed by our nation these last 30 years. I pray the tide is turning. I totally agree without a revival there is no hope. I wonder if part of God’s judgement is that Christians weren’t radical enough in our opposition to abortion, and didn’t fight hard enough against many of the other sins that are accepted now but were still considered sins even 30-40 years ago. We are supposed to be salt and light, but for the most part, we’ve lost our saltiness in this culture!
How people could have heard testimony from the Gosnell trial and not wept and repented, is impossible for me to fathom.
Well, getting pretty far off topic of this thread, but thanks for sharing your thoughts. Many blessings to you, too!
High horse? OK, I’m off my high horse now. Hmmmm. I still feel the same way. Defaming someone is bad. Even someone who is an easy target for speculation. But I guess if you don’t have actual proof he’s fabricating, you still have to come up with something that fits your perception of him. It’s human nature. Oh well. I’ve been through real defamation. It’s not fun. It doesn’t sit well with me. If you’re OK with it, that’s your choice. A poor choice, but yours to make, nonetheless.
