John Boehner won't back immigration bill without majority GOP support
The Washington Examiner ^ | 06-16-2013 | David Drucker

House Speaker John Boehner is not going to bring a comprehensive immigration-reform plan to the floor if a majority of Republicans don't support it, sources familiar with his plans said.

"No way in hell," is how several described the chances of the speaker acting on such a proposal without a majority of his majority behind him.

Boehner, R-Ohio, does not view immigration in the same vein as the fiscal cliff last December, when he backed a bill that protected most Americans from a tax increase even though less than half of the GOP lawmakers were with him, said multiple sources, who spoke anonymously to allow greater candor.

Exactly this is nothing but gossip....sources familiar...his golf caddy.

Keep the pressure on the Senate. The point of this disinformation would be to get conservatives to relax and think it is all ok.

I crushed my Rubio water bottle and sent it back with the note: Rubio caved! I want a refund!

True is Boehner will do as he’s told by those who hold his secret files. He is owned.

If Republicans and Democrats made a deal to vote the most conservative Democrat to be speaker, he would almost certainly be more conservative than Boehner.

This is the only hope for killing this bill. We must melt the phone lines in DC. Call and write Email and send tweets. This has to be stopped and it is only through the house that we can do it.

Also, we must push for a person to primary ANY Senator that votes for this monstrosity. That includes especially Kelly Ayotte, Marco Rubio and Rand Paul. They owe their entire careers to the TEA Party and nothing else and they must be reminded about who they work for.

Must be assuaging those that might rebel against him.
******************************************************************
That may be all there is to it. Whatever his motivation, we (and ALL conservative Republican members of the House) need to hold him to this!

Bohner also passed the Senate's VAWA that included new provisions for gays and illegals, by turning the house over to Pelosi and passing it with primarily Pelosi votes.

So it wasnt just the tax bill he did that with, the tax extension was an emergency, VAWA was not,.

I hope that it dies in the Senate, that would be the perfect ending. But I fear that a lot of Senators (a la Rand Paul and Lindsey Graham) have been bought off.
