The Weekly Standard ^ | Jun 17, 2013 | DANIEL HALPER

A new CNN poll finds that 66 percent of American adults believe that it's "right" for the Obama administration to analyze and collect Internet data. Only 33 percent believe the action is "wrong," and 1 percent have "No opinion."

"[F]or the past few years the Obama administration has reportedly been gathering and analyzing information from major internet companies about audio and video chats, photographs, e-mails and documents involving people in other countries in an attempt to locate suspected terrorists. The government reportedly does not target internet usage by U.S. citizens and if such data is collected, it is kept under strict controls," reads the poll question. "Do you think the Obama administration was right or wrong in gathering and analyzing that internet data?"

If this is true (and I doubt it), we've become a nation of sheep.

Baaaaaaaaaaa!

Question 2: Do you believe that the NSA is listening to your answers to this poll? 23% say no, 66% say yes, 11% were unable to answer before an NSA agent answered for them.

Last week there was a report that upwards of 77% distrusted the zero administration and believed it was wrong in its direction.

They HAD to come up with another number and of course CNN is more than willing to suck him off again.

Oh ... did I say something abusive?

I don't think so.

Yeah, well, as long as it’s Barack Obama that’s doing it, and not that evil George W. Bush.

I wonder if they polled the same people who believed Bush should have been brought up for war crimes for tapping suspected foreign terrorists?

The government reportedly does not target internet usage by U.S. citizens

Reportedly. They also reportedly did not capture phone usage data. Oops, they lied. Add that to your polling, CNN.

Notice how no polls say anything about an administration collecting data to attack its political opponents?

Because this is what it’s about. The NSA has been doing this for 40 years. That’s their job and they are pretty good at it. To think anything you have done between buying something online with a credit card or any other transaction hasn’t been recorded somewhere is naive.

Every piece of information about us is recorded somewhere and everyone here knows it. What spooked us is thinking that maybe as conservatives and seeing what happened with the IRS attacking us, that the NSA is being used by Obama to also go after us.

Only problem with that theory is no one has the cajones to say it. In other words, he intimidation of the regime has worked.

All polls come out 66.6 % for Obama.

Except for the vote, which stands at a solid 120%.

I don't believe this poll. Even my liberal/marxist/democRAT relatives disagree with NSA/Prism data collection.

Sure, my relatives moment of clarity is rare, but even they see where this is going.

Almost, but not quite.

The question will be:

“You approve of the re-education camps for conservatives and other enemies of the state, right?”

The barrel of a gun being pointed at the respondent might be real or implied.
