American taxpayers are funding a war against Christianity, Senator Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) said Thursday during an address made at a popular Washington, DC conservative conference.
Appealing to a crowd at this weeks Faith and Freedom Conference in the nations capital, Sen. Paul said changes need to be made with regards to the expansive foreign aid being spent by the United States to fund countries he claims are critical of the most popular religion in the US.
"There is a war on Christianity," Paul said. "Not just from liberal elites here at home, but worldwide. And your government, or more correctly, you, the taxpayer, are funding it.
Sen. Paul made the remarks during a luncheon at the conference that was attended by a crowd compose largely of Jewish and Christian members of the Republican Party, Chris Moody wrote for The Ticket.
The conference, Moody wrote, is organized by former Christian Coalition Executive Director Ralph Reed, and it regularly hosts Republican politicians seeking the party's nomination for the presidency.
Sen. Paul said previously that hes considering a possible presidential bid leading up to the 2016 election, but has stopped himself from officially throwing his hat in the ring. Hes also gone on the record multiple times to critique the current status of the Republican Party, urging other members of the GOP to shift focus in fear that the conservative movement might otherwise die.
I think my party, the Republican Party, is shrinking, he told CNN last year. Were in danger of becoming a dinosaur.

I doubt it not.
The devil gets as many fingers into the pie as he can.
There’s still no reason to despair. God can very easily land knock out punches on hell. But He wants our love, and that’s the reason He’s waiting. He lets things get terrible so there is no mistake in our minds that we need to love Him.
I resent my tax dollars supporting muslim terrorists. I don’t want to support muslim terrorists. We need a new protest group in this country...Stop Terrorist Support (STS).
Bigg Red: Rand Paul supporting the dearh of America through the legalization of illegal aliens.
dearh = death
I don’t like his illegals stance either, but compared to stopping abortion, defending our 2nd Amendment, and the rest of the Constitution for that matter, shrinking government, and fighting the filthy muzzies, the beaners and wetbacks are small potatoes.
I am glad he is on the right side of the issues that you mentioned, but, when the illegals are allowed to just flood into our country and turn it into whatever kind of sewer they left at home, the US will be no more, and neither our rights nor our Constitution will be defended or even recognized.
