Republicans are "in a demographic death spiral" and will fail in their effort to win the presidency if the party blocks an immigration overhaul, a leading GOP senator said Sunday.
Sen. Lindsey Graham, the South Carolina Republican who helped write a bipartisan immigration bill under debate in the Senate, said conservatives who are trying to block the measure will doom the party and all but guarantee a Democrat will remain in the White House after 2016's election.
A Democrat also involved in developing the proposal, Sen. Robert Menendez of New Jersey, went a step further and predicted "there'll never be a road to the White House for the Republican Party" if immigration overhaul fails to pass.

Of course the absolute opposite is true. Typical GOPe.
Just why are most republicans morons?
Grahamnasty’s GOP needs to die...
Graham still thinks we won in 2008 and 2012.
“Isn’t McCain president?”
What...an...ass.
So let’s all just surrender to islam because unless we embrace sharia law and the muzzies keep imigr...invading and breeding...we’ll have a democrat muzzie goverment instead of a republican rino muzzie government.
Yeah, that’s the ticket...moron.
Goober, the illegal amnesty bill is a gift from Gaia to the Democrat-Socialist Party.
with amnesty bill GOP will lose in 2014.
Fagraham needs to go. He’s an embarrassment to us South Carolina Conservatives. Nancy Mace is getting a lot of face time around SC as challenger. http://www.943wsc.com/pages/personality_KellyGolden.html?article=11392681
This sounds more and more like:
“pass our immigration bill or our operatives release ‘information’ to ensure none of your local candidates win their races”
And with the Immigration bill, Republicans will lose in 2016, 2018, 2020, 2022...
Wrong Grahamnesty, You and the Leadership are STUCK ON STUPID. It is the Leadership that is bringing the Party down and Nothing else. Try Standing up and pretending you are an Adult. I will make a bet, try standing up and pronouncing that the Republican Party has come up with it’s own Immigration Plan separate from the Quisling Eight.
We in the Republican Party are re-introducing President Eisenhowers “Operation Wetback” without any changes.
just watch and see how the party is rejuvenated.
The worst thing the Republicans can do is pass this bill in the form and state it has passed the Senate. I’m all for reform........but.......number one priority is establishing “Real” “Airtight” border security and the other number one priority is that no Illegal immigrant will ever be granted USA citizenship or voting rights. Yes.....they be be legalized, permanent workers and residents that pay all USA taxes.....but no path to citizenship and voting rights ever. Illegal children brought here by parents and relatives OK a path to citizenship that takes thirty-one years from birth (Age 21, then ten years for path)!!! Children born her are already citizens.
And......let me further tell Mr. Lindsey........that this “Immigration” issue is not the barn burner its advocates scream about. Most Americans could care less as polls clearly point out!!! What Americans want is their jobs protected through very tight border standards!!! End of story!!!
Hey GOP-e... Listen up!
If you want to win run a Conservative who leads from the front.
What’s that, not interested?
Imagine that.
Secure the border first!!!
Then take a look at this plan......Do Not Throw Our Laws Away for some vote you think you might get.....How about stopping the Obama African Vacation this summer for starters....think of the jobless here now...think of the money being spent on the Obama vacation, the food stamps disability frauds...Stop that bleeding before any more illegals are made illegal citizens of the USA. Good Lord people can't we stop Washington from giving our country away piece meal. Shame on We The People if we cant!
If Romney gets 70% of the “Hispanic” vote he still loses the 2012 election. Why is this fact lost on these losers?
