George Orwell was right. He was just 30 years early.
In its April cover story, Wired has an exclusive report on the NSA's Utah Data Center, which is a must read for anyone who believes any privacy is still a possibility in the United States: [mod note, Wired content is not allowed on FR]
“We are, like, that far from a turnkey totalitarian state,”
Actually, we are already there, we just don’t know it yet...

To most of us Orwell’s 1984 is just a classic science fiction novel.
To Obama and other liberals it is a How-To-Do-It guidebook.
The U.S. fell on september 11, 2001 opening the door for the Patriot Act to be set in place stick an airplane in it we were done.
It’s really getting stupid how people are making this an Obama story.
Either we have Republican paid professionals making that type of comment or poor helpless folks who have Republican engrained in their brain.
This spying on citizens goes back to the CIA at it’s outset.
It’s been steadily increasing all along, both under Dem and Repub administrations.
George H W Bush is new world order extraordinaire.
Electing a Republican to replace Obama will do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to change the track America is on.
Wake up, wake up, spit out the blood of Kali !

Anyone wishing to fight the United States government must plan on using Napoleonic-Era command and control, and using an EMP and/or massive jamming of all parts of the electromagnetic spectrum usable for communications, telemetry, radar and the like.

You are exactly right.
The New world Order cannot be implemented as long as the USA is strong and sovereign. Nothing/no one is going to stop that from happening.
Politicians will bitch and moan about all the scandals, etc. but they will not cross the line because they want to live and don’t want their families harmed or dead.
ahhh and it became self aware...
Yes, we are already there...many people know this and many people do care, but know there is very little they can do about it. But perhaps the majority of the people in the world do not care, they are too busy being entertained.
If I didn’t know that God is on His throne and is in control, and that everything is going according to His plan and purpose as He has revealed to mankind in the Bible, I would be fearful and hopeless. But my hope, the anchor of my soul, is the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the way, the truth and the life, and no man comes to God but through Him.
This is the most important thing in this life to settle. The rest will fall into place—as He ordains—for His own glory (that we have been graciously allowed to share in).
Maybe people will finally wake up now that simultaneously tracking several million people in real time is no big deal. Too bad people didn't wake up back when they would still bust a gut every time they tried to track more than several hundred people at once in real time. Back then keeping track of everyone with launch codes, ours and theirs, was all they worried about.
Imho, we are approaching the point of no return.
Good night NSA...oh, and one more thing. You guys reading this, the excuse of "we were just following orders," will get you a front row seat at the next Nuremberg trials. Trust me.
