Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin said the Senate's "special interest" immigration bill rewards "rule breakers" and was not the way to rebuild a conservative majority in America of people who want to restore the country's founding principles.

A plane fare for me is like the price of a mini vacation. But this is SO important. So it is well worth the time and cost of calling and bugging my congressmen to death about it this upcoming week!
BTTT!
You’re right. Boner will send over an Amnesty bill to the Senate that will be gutted in conference and approved by the RINOS and RATS with the blessing of Mitch McConnell.
Thanks KC_Lion.
Sarah, her past interview still stands. I honestly don’t know why she disagrees with this bill. None the less, you’ll be reminding me she objected to this bill for the next decade.
Yet, if I bring up her last statement prior to this from three years ago, I’m being so unfair.
Do you want me to link you to the interview where she states she will not reward lawbreakers, then explains how if they follow the guidelines of legislation, she’ll let them register and stay here? We’re talking only a few minutes between the two facets of her policy in the same interview.
Sadly, it’s not that simple.
Why did she object today? What was the real deal-breaker? I don’t know. She has agreed to ‘rewards’ before for lawbreakers. Why not now? Was that the real reason? Is her policy of the past now objectionable to her?
I don’t know.
The poster has been at this non stop for days.
(Thank you for link)

VAN SUSTEREN: All right, now, I know that your past as governor of Alaska didnt was not the same time that Governor Jan Brewer of Arizona has gotten into office, but I assume that sort of governor to governor...
PALIN: Yes.
VAN SUSTEREN: Whats your thought on the heat that shes taking over this statute?
PALIN: Im proud of Jan Brewer for standing up for the constituents in her state, sending a message to Washington, sending a message to President Obama saying, Hey, you need to do your job, sir. And if youre not going to do it, OK, then we are compelled to do the job for you until you get it right.
President Obama has been suspiciously silent on this issue, hasnt he? We dont even know where he stands on immigration reform or securing our borders. He doesnt talk about it. He gets to punt on that one. And thats unfortunate because this is a big issue. Its all about national security. Its about our sister border states that are inundated with violence and with crime because people illegally crossing the border, engaging in illegal activities for too long now. And some of these border states are saying, Now weve had enough. I admire Jan Brewer for taking a stand.
VAN SUSTEREN: Why do you think I mean, for 20-some years, maybe even longer, even going back to President Reagan everyone has always said, Were going to secure the borders.
PALIN: Yes.
VAN SUSTEREN: Nobody has done anything. I mean, or almost nothing.
PALIN: Because theyve made it political and they havent understood that unsecure borders isnt fair to anybody. Its not fair to American citizens who ware here legally, paying taxes, following the rules, doing all the things that an American citizen is expected to do. Its not fair to them. But its not fair to the illegal aliens, either, here. They want to come pursue an American dream. Some of them do want to be here to work. But theyre forever going to have to hide because, you know, governments going to crack down on them when (INAUDIBLE)
So they need to follow that path of legal citizenship, obviously. But these politicians, presidents in the past who have not secured the border, theyve made it a political issue. They havent wanted to tick off a potential base of Hispanic voters, so they havent made the tough decisions. And thats no way to solve the problem. Thats no way to solve any challenge in America, by ducking and hiding and creating division and making these partisan issues out of it.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
VAN SUSTEREN: Well, we have still more with Governor Sarah Palin. Governor Palin is blunt about what she would do about illegal immigration. Shes going to tell you.
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
VAN SUSTEREN: Continuing with former governor Sarah Palin on illegal immigration.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
VAN SUSTEREN: Both parties have made promises. I mean, we pull up sound bites where, you know, both sides, you know, Democrat, Republicans, say, you know, Secure the border, secure the border. And then once in office, we certainly dont see a whole lot of action. Had the election gone another way, or even if you were president, what would you do about immigration?
PALIN: The very first thing is literally secure the border!
VAN SUSTEREN: How?
PALIN: People mock the idea of a fence. Whats wrong with building a fence? Yes, lets physically secure the border. Lets ramp up border control. Lets provide the tools for those who are putting their lives on the line in order to stop illegal immigration of these aliens. Those are a couple of things.
And then you dont start talking about amnesty, either, kind of as this last-minute, Oh, anybody whos here in the country right now, were going to provide you amnesty, and even though youve broken the law and we are a nation of laws, youve broken that, well still give you because then theres going to be a huge influx of those wanting kind of at the last minute to come over the border because they know that they will forever then receive that amnesty.
So you dont start talking about that, but the very first thing you do is physically, literally secure those borders. It baffles me and most Americans why for all these years presidents, administrations have spoken about it but never done it.

Article IV section 4.

Do your job!
“Sarah Palin said the Senate’s “special interest” immigration bill rewards “rule breakers”
1,000% right. Sarah speaks truth, and that’s one reason I like her.
Well, maybe she changed her mind.
Palin's right. Further, if we MUST take in 11 million Mexicans, I'd rather send the illegals home and take in 11 million Mexicans who followed the rules. They'd make MUCH better citizens - and they'd be the kind of people we would like for neighbors.
You’re a one-trick pony. Sarah has made her statement on the issue. Why hate on her when you have Rubio and Ryan? Grow a brain, eat your Wheaties, and never spawn.
Sarah, I’m A huge Gov. Palin fan and supporter. But I cannot support any polítican that supports amnesty. Palin’s comments on illegal immigration are not concise.
Might as well run for the WH yourself - nobody else can live up to your standards.
I think we have a lifetime supply of non-abovers here already.
I agree with you, DoughtyOne. Pols go vague when the specifics of their positions are controversial or unpopular.
Palin has been woefully silent on this amnesty bill as it has gathered steam and moved through the Senate.
It’s a big deal that she spoke against it yesterday, and will be a bigger deal still if she really uses her Fox megaphone to stop it.
I hope she does, and yesterday was (just) a first step.
Give it a break and stop stinking up the thread with your nonsense.
