JERUSALEM In a bombshell admission that has until now gone unreported, Martin Dempsey, chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff, conceded that highly trained Special Forces were stationed just a few hours away from Benghazi on the night of the attacks but were not told to deploy to Libya.
In comments that may warrant further investigation, Dempsey stated at a Senate hearing Wednesday that on the night of the Sept. 11, 2012, attack, command of the Special Forces known as C-110, or the EUCOM CIF was transferred from the militarys European command to AFRICOM, or the United States Africa Command.
Dempsey did not state any reason for the strange transfer of command nor could he provide a timeline for the transfer the night of the attack.
Also, Dempseys comments on the travel time between Croatia and Benghazi were incorrect.
His remarks for the first time confirm an exclusive Fox News interview aired April 30 in which a special government operator, speaking on condition of anonymity, contradicted claims by the Obama administration and a State Department review that there wasnt enough time for military forces to deploy the night of the attack.
I know for a fact that C-110, the EUCOM CIF, was doing a training exercise in
not in the region of North Africa, but in Europe, the special operator told Fox News Adam Housley. And they had the ability to act and to respond.

Yeah, amazing, ain’t it? I said from the gitgo that there was a Marine assault ship also in the general area. Probably surfing along the coast of Libya. The notion that no one was within quick-time distance has always been bullstuff.
Give Obama a break. He was headed to Vegas to party with Beyonce and his Hollywood friends at a fundraiser. He didn’t have time to worry about a few Americans being murdered by Al Qaeda.
what does this mean for the administration?
Don't be surprised if one day we learn the whole thing was orchestrated by Obama.
Business as usual?
“what does this mean for the administration?”
Without media asking the hard questions it means zip.
That’s an amazing account of really happened.
Yes, mad as hell and passing this around.
Agreed. More like an Arab winter.
That letter is a hoax. It’s a chain email...author unknown.

Denis McDonough - Obama’s chief of staff now...(was on Sunday show this morning)....
One of Obamas closest advisers is his Deputy National Security Adviser. The person acting the part of Deputy National Security Adviser is one Denis McDonough. While McDonough enjoys the credentials of a well-educated 41-year-old, he has sparse work experience. Working on the hill as a legislative aide before transferring to a liberal think tank (*Center for American Progress) before campaigning for Obama before becoming Deputy National Security Adviser, is good for McDonough but embarrassing to the position which he holds. [...]
McDonough has a reputation around D.C. as a rabid mind-fixer in his mission to set the record straight with democratic politicians and mainstream media types, who dare veer off the political reservation. Its rather humorous in a way to see a glorified political functionary like McDonough act the part of a seasoned and experienced political heavyweight. McDonough was promoted out of ideological loyalty over convention. Try telling McDonough that and hell likely piss ideological vinegar all over you. But the thing with McDonoughs verbal piss, it doesnt stain things, it cant its too inexperienced.
There is a rumor I want to be clear, its a rumor that at least two networks have emails from the National Security Advisers office [Denis McDonough? or Tom Donilon?] telling a counterterrorism group to stand down, [Newt] Gingrich said.
Newt Gingrich was specifically talking about his knowledge of a communication known by at least one Senator, and given to two media outlets who did not use it. It makes sense:
Did Denis McDonough tell people to stand down while POTUS and VPOTUS were on the phone with BiBi and unable to be interrupted ?
