My bet is that this is just a different route to a carbon tax and that the money will soon flow from the taxpayers to the favored few, with politicians taking their usual cut, either in campaign contributions or outright graft. After all, how can you argue against preparedness?

H’es been tryign to turn beach front properties into ‘national parks’ for a long time now so that he can charge admittance- which is just anotehr money brabbign scheme by NY- and when sandy hit he immediately stepped in tryign to convicne everyoen that it was so dangerous to live there that they shoudl sell their properties to him/the state- of ocurse there’s been how many such storms i nthe past 1000 years trhere? Maybe a mere dozen?
