The Roman Church has no moral authority anymore.
Go to the March for Life in Washington, D.C. and take a poll as to how many Catholics are there standing up for life versus all the other faiths combined.

And the Roman Catholic Church does not usually excommunicate anyone's ass; they pray they convert and are saved. We're all sinners; keep that in mind... :)

Take a poll to see how the two largest Christian denominations vote for the pro-abortion party and the anti-abortion party.

Catholics vote pro-abortion democrat.

You are correct in that all sinners should be called to repentance and room should be given for the Holy Spirit to do His work in discipline.

Can we assume that multiple clergy and lay people have privately confronted Nancy Pelosi according to Matthew 18:15-17? That is what her Christian family is commanded to do.

When the unrepentant Christian refuses to hear the church’s truth, they are to be treated like a heathen. Nancy Pelosi continues to use her public stage to proclaim and teach contrary to the Church’s doctrine and at the same time calls herself a good Catholic. Doesn’t the Church realize how that appears to the world we are trying to win for Christ? By silent assent to Pelosi’s nonsense, the Church accepts that its teachings are nonsense too.

This world has become nonsensical. You can be a Christian without obeying Christ. Not trying and failing, we all do that. But to loudly proclaim that obedience is not necessary is nonsense.

Kind of like taking an oath to defend and protect the Constitution and then taking every affirmative action and action of omission possible to see it destroyed. Yet people accept that as reality and not the nonsense it is. You can stand in manure and swear its sugar and people just nod and go along.

I would despair. But God is not mocked and He is not moved from His throne. All schemes of man against Him will ultimately fail.

"We're all sinners; keep that in mind... :) "

This is not mere "sin." She is speaking "as a practicing catholic," using her position of political authority to influence others.

This is suborning heresy. As such, I think it's excommunicable.

There is nothing, absolutely nothing sacred about abortion.

...the RC Church won’t excommunicate known apostates sneering at the most incipient premise of its sacred creed (that of the sanctity of life itself), but falls all over itself in its haste to condemn Archbishop Lefevre, for simply asserting his belief that VatII might not have been such a great idea...says it all about the courage of those in charge...

...at any rate, praying and hoping for conversion of sinners without the hammer of expulsion is the same thing, really, as saying ‘come on in, however much of a scumbag you are, because we’re all moral relativists here devoid of the ability to make judgements’...in other words, a useless moral tack to follow...
