WASHINGTON -- As soon as the Constitution permitted him to run for Congress, Al Salvi did. In 1986, just 26 and fresh from the University of Illinois law school, he sank $1,000 of his own money, which was most of his money, into a campaign to unseat an incumbent Democratic congressman. Salvi studied for the bar exam during meals at campaign dinners.

Right now Obama remains untouchable, so we should focus our attention on his minions, such as Lois Lerner. Keep the heat on them and some of them will crack and start talking about how Obama is throwing them under the bus.
How is it this woman is not behind bars instead of collecting a salary for not working and getting awards from the DNC and liberal media?
Here's where Will and I part company. Distrust of government is not a problem. It's a GOOD thing. That is a healthy thing. That is an AMERICAN thing.

Often it is easy to find something in George’s stuff that is a little squishy. This is not the case here. His is a good hard blow that “will leave a mark” coming from an old establishment “conservative” commentator, or what passes for one at the top of the media heap.
Go George.
Even George Will is getting worried.
This is what an impending constitutional crisis looks like.
Get in time machine back there in 1961 and come back to 2013.
BTW, I knew people like this in government employment ~ they don't help a customer to deal with a problem that's in the way, but come a deadline, they'll cut'em off at the knees. Imagine the worst accident adjustor you've ever met ~ now multiply that by 10X.
Lois needs to be prosecuted.
A little progress. At least George Will has finally acknowledged that the major problem is the MSM.
No, government requires distrust and eternal vigilance against usurpers. Like our Founders wrote into our operating manual.
The above essay by George Will, and others like it, is one of the various reasons that those he writes about wish to control the internet and stifle such dissemination of information.
I just read this. George Will is usually witty but diplomatic. This piece reads as if he is almost seething in anger. His conclusion is almost identical to what I heard Glenn Beck saying over the last few days and to Erick Erickson’s comments this evening about the autocratic left’s obsession with data (and the similarity to Robert McNamara’s operations research “Whiz Kids”).
When Noonan and Will start sounding like Glenn Beck and Rush, things are shaking up.

We citizens are not supposed to worry about the “trust us” bureaucracies. It’s the job of our “representatives” to ensure that an equitable relationship exists between the taxpayers and the services provided through taxation.
I’m #ing tired of looking past the grossly irresponsible legislative and funding bodies only to point fingers at the results of their incompetence, lies, and betrayal.
Not until a special prosecutor is appointed to really investigate and prosecute perjury will the truth come out. Lerner will stonewall to the end of Obama’s term and will become a left wing mythical hero. However she would fold quick if an real criminal investigation found she routinely violated Federal civil rights laws and faced some hard time in a cell with Bubbette.
So many “scandals.” It’s really a bum rush, an all-out multi-front assault on the Republic. The fact that the assault is so pervasive helps its success.
Who is going to put Lerner in jail? Holder? If it wern’t so tragic I’d laugh.
Lois Lerner’s history
Will sees a time soon where the “consent of the governed” is withdrawn?
Put her in jail and throw away the key.
