A dying girl who needs a lung transplant and only has weeks to live has will receive the long-awaited lung transplant she so desperately needs. Sarah Murnaghan, the 10-year-old Pennsylvania girl dying of cystic fibrosis, received national attention after HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius refused to help.

How the heck does Kathleen Sibelius have the authority to say whether or not anyone gets a transplant?
welcome to obamacare..we will have to go to court to get what we need
I feel a great deal of sympathy for this child and her family, but I can’t help but wonder if her being pushed to the front of the line didn’t push someone else out of it.
Sebelius needs a heart transplant. The one she has is a cold stone.
By refusing to overturn an HHS policy that had been in place for years that said children under 12 should not be considered as recipients for adult lungs. Apparently when the policy was enacted there was no procedure for adapting the larger lungs for a smaller childs body. Now supposedly there is.
The child is in surgery now. They say it will take upwards of 12 hours. May our Lord watch over her and bring her to good health.
God bless the child and her family. Prayers up!
Thank the good Lord and scrooge you KS. Life and love triumphs over evil.
Sebelius sghould have been made the donor, and no anesthesia during lung removal. Black-hearted B*TCH!
Because under obamacare - you know the one that Congress and musklims are exempt from - you only get care if you're deemed useful to the state.
Going forward I'm sure the litmus test for future judges will be whether or not they're willing to put the NWO above justice and common decency.
It is my understanding from this article that she was NOT “pushed to the front of the line”, but was placed on the adult donor list thus increasing her chances of acquiring a donor. There is a difference.
if it were an abortion that were needed to save her life. no question, she’d have issued a waiver.
Outstanding! Prayer answered. Now, prayers up to God in Heaven that the operation might be successful!
Not sure if this had anything to do with Obamacare. Aren’t these rules already in place (by medical professionals)? Aren’t there are reasons for the age requirements when it comes to adult lungs? Sebelius staying out of this was the right thing. God bless this family, they accomplished something we all would try to do for our children.

I am not sure that’s happened.
1). She did not ask to be put in the FRONT of any line..she asked to be included on the adult side of being a recipient when previously she was allowed only to be a recipient of a pediatric lung.
2). I know there are recipient lists but that doesn’t mean they are addressed in linear fashion in order only, if that makes sense. There has to be some tissue/blood matches done, among other things.
We talk about lines and lists but I think that’s for conversational ease,,if that makes any sense. I have not heard of anyone claiming they have been pushed “back” because of this little girl. I suspect it could happen, but that is not a given.
Yep. This is just a glimpse into the future of healthcare rationing done by bureacrats sitting behind a desk not knowing their ass from their heads.
True, and if that's the case, I'd certainly agree with it.
I am praying for the little girl.
Blessings to the family who gave the little girl a chance of life.
Thinking about all others who are in need of a miracle.
I pray they put these young children on the organ list permanently not just by court order. Right now, the court had a say though after Obamacare takes hold, no court would be able to over say or protect anyone from the death panels.
“Because of the complexity of the transplant surgery and the almost guaranteed post-surgery immune system rejection, the long-term survival for lung transplant patients isnt as long as those who have received other types of organs like kidneys, livers, etc.”
